“Portion size ? and food excellent ?. Friendly atmosphere. There's spanish music videos at the front of the restaurant and ? UFC at the back. Tables are pretty spa IOUs. Not a crowded restaurant. Clean.Vegetarian options: Bean burritos are good. Well seasoned“
“Everything is excellent!!! The delicious food, the tacos 100% the flavor of Mexico ?? the tortillas have such a delicious flavor, they put a special sauce on them that uufff deli deli ? and the exquisite desserts too (there are flans, chocoflanes, tres leches...)??????? I RECOMMEND!!!“
“The tripe soup is delicious and the fish ceviche is very refreshing and perfect for summer. The hibiscus drink was served a full liter?, but it tasted so good that I finished it in the end. The menu is rich in variety and has many choices, which is recommended for those who like authentic Mexican food.“
“The tacos are delicious, authentic flavor of Mexico. The place is spacious, with beautiful typical decorations. The Jamaican water and tripe tacos are 10/10. A comfortable and familiar place. They serve their clients very well.Parking: Right in front there is a local parking lot.“
“Have been going to the place for years now and I’ve always loved the food. Staff are nice I’ve gotten along with the younger guys who work there at or at the food truck/stands when there are festivals. Mexican food has lost a lot of quality and is over priced in Toronto, but for it obviously being expensive the food has always been great and one of the best Mexican food in Toronto.“
“Eating at El Sazón de la Tía Flor's was a delightful experience. The Chorizo Taco brought a spicy kick, Birria Tacos were amazing, and Enchiladas offered perfect flavors. Their salsas also tasted great. Added bonus that I don't have to worry about finding street parking.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options.“
“I went to the restaurant from Ottawa and it is very delicious, we ordered a little bit of everything and we were fascinated with the food. We will return whenever possible and we always compete. The menu of the place is mega delicious, plus you can dip into sweet tortillas, mole hominy and many other things.“
“Amazing food and amazing service. Our waitress knew the menu so we’ll that she was able to talk us into dishes we normally wouldn’t order. Margaritas were amazing (not on menu but it is a Mexican restaurant). The ceviche was so good we ordered a second one. I never order pork at restaurants and rarely eat it - but it was amazing. Side salad was so flavorful and the desserts were fantastic. They just earned a Michelin star and I can see why!!“
“It’s all about their delicately designed menu, presentation and priceless taste , flavours and texture. The unique menu leaves you flabbergasted, wondering if these delectable dishes can be so immaculately curated created to bring out the right flavour. They are all vegan and gluten-free to escalate your experience. Their guacamole and chocolate cake are once in a lifetime experience, and I highly recommend it if you are one for a scrumptiously tasting, not too decadently sweet chocolate cake. It’s worth a try, absolutely!!! A place to go to for a special occasion and to celebrate something special. It’s terrific:) leaves you craving for more and longing to visit again soon.“
“The service was great Brenda the server was great ,she was very friendly, she was always checking if we needed something , over all she was really nice ! The food was really good , and the drinks were also great I had margachelada and it was so yummy.“
“What a perfect and cute place to get one of the most delicious cups of coffee - a true coffee lovers delight! We enjoyed one of the signature coffees and look forward to getting it again, and again! So, flavorful and aromatic. The staff were super kind and very helpful!“
“Incredible experience! I had the best solo date with myself at Casa Madera! Aside from the amazing vibes, live music, and dancing, Kelly, the waitress for my table, was the highlight of my brunch. She customized her recommendations to my dietary needs and made sure I had a great experience and view of the decor. She was friendly and fun to speak with. She helped me take beautiful videos and photos of my meal and made me feel comfortable and welcome as a customer. I highly recommend Casa Madera for your future dates or events and if you're ever so lucky to bump into Kelly, I promise you you'll be in for a wonderful experience“
“Update: Their quality has increased. That’s rare! Amazing. Never changeOld: You recently changed your taco tortillas. The new ones are not good at all. This is my fave place but the tortilla was inedible. The old tortillas were better than this, but could’ve been improved upon. Please change it!“
“This was our first time here(recommendations from a friend), the atmosphere was great, service was impeccable and the food was definitely worth every penny! Our server Juliana was very attentive and accomodating thank you for your help!P.S: if you like a Spicer salsa ask for Habenero sauce (only found out after devouring the food)“
“Fantastic experience and I will be back, a lot! I came by to check out the restaurant as I like to go out for lunch when I'm in my Mississauga office. The other reviews spoke about good service and fresh, tasty food. I walked in to a clean resatuarant and was immediately greeted by the staff. I saw a sign for a "Burrito of the day" and decided to go with that (Tuesday is grilled chicken). Ordered and watched them make it, everything looked delicious and fresh, I paid and they finished grilling my burrito and wrapped it up. The staff member went to hand my my burrito in a bag and accidentally dropped it! He quickly picked up the bag, changed his gloves, and went to check my food. He noticed the burrito was split. He asked me to wait just a moment, and I assumed he was just going to wrap a second tortilla around it, but instead he REMADE my entire order. I was dealing with a work issue on the phone before I realized what he was doing - I would have been fine with a second tortilla around my burrito. When i told him I felt bad about wasting food, he threw the first burrito in with my second one because he agreed, he didn't want to throw it away. That kind gesture, and the delicious fresh food I enjoyed has earned a repeat customer. Great food, for a great price. I'll be back A LOT!“
“The food at this place is incredible, and it's huge! You leave feeling full and happy with what you pay. The taste is really amazing; the quesabirrias are highly recommended... Plus, I'm always served by the same gentleman, and he's very friendly. Additionally, he remembers what you order :)“
“This taco spot has a lot of hype and higher priced tacos compared to others in the area, but I think they’re worth trying!! The taco recipes include a simple mix of ingredients that complement one another and the fillings tasted really fresh. The chips and guac to start were also delicious!“
“WOW, I will definitely be coming back here. The food was unreal, and at such a good price. Everything on the menu is around $10-$15 and the portion size is amazing. You literally can't eat at this price and this quality anywhere else. Staff is friend, place is clean, and service is quick. I had the bbq pulled pork quesadilla and my gf had the veggie quesadilla, and they were both iconic. Will definitely be coming back here. Shout out to the owner, they know what they are doing.“
“Tacos Moras has given me a new attitude towards burritos. I’m more of a taco guy and for years, so many places loading their burritos with bland rice, & mediocre protein just turned me off of them. But my wife and I were craving a burrito and so we had the Carnitas and Chicken burrito and oh man, they were perfection. I think that says something coming from a guy that has avoided them for so long. The portion and quality is great for the price in my opinion. The tortilla was perfectly tender and the fillings all had such a complimentary texture. The right amount of seasoning, cheese and zesty flavours made every bite better than the next. We got a side of birria consommé, for the burritos and hoo boy, was it the perfect added flavour bomb.We also tried a pastor and baja fish taco and they were great as well. To cap it off, we got the churros, which are filled with a dark, melted chocolate and they arrived perfectly warm and crispy. So satisfied with everything and we will for sure be coming back, and we’re so stoked to finally have some great Mexican food in this part of the east end.“
“The restaurant is in a beautiful space, close to public transportation. The food is delicious and made with quality ingredients. The portions are good. I got the Moroccan Scramble with tofu, and it was amazing! The staff is excellent, attentive and friendly. Even though they were packed, I got my food pretty quickly. I most definitely recommend this spot.“
“Lots of hype around this place and it’s certainly warranted. Usually quite a long wait time to get in so we had to go a little earlier on a Friday. The set up inside is unique as there is only stool seating along two U shaped tables and along the windows. Wasn’t sure how I would feel about that, but it works fine if you’re a couple.Food was superb - some of the best tacos you can get in the city. The Quesabirria Con Consome seems to be what they are best known for, and it’s an absolute must. We also got the shrimp aguachile + leguna and pollo tacos. To be honest its more filling than you’d think so we had to take some home. No complaints with anything however, great little spot and we will definitely be coming back to check it out in the summer!“
“Honestly one of my favourite places to go for tacos. The food is delicious and the service is amazing. The space is very electric and cool. The only downside is that it gets very busy and very loud since the place is so small so if you want to eat here on the weekend or most nights you may want to book a reservation especially if you are a group of more than two people. They do have a cute patio in the summer (but lucky us Canadians, we only get to enjoy it for a few months). But all in all I recommend this place to everyone!“
“My go-to spot for a satisfying meal every week. Being a vegetarian, I always order their sautéed veggie burrito, and occasionally indulge in their supreme fries as well. The staff is incredibly friendly, making each visit a pleasant experience. The food is always delicious and prepared with “
“What an incredible restaurant located in the heart of Woodbridge! Essence Bistro checked all the boxes: delicious variety of food, elevated drink menu and scrumptious desserts in a beautiful atmosphere. Beka was incredibly kind and recommended excellent pairings for both the wine and food.“
“I am a big time food explorer so decided to visit this place after checking remarkable google reviews. I must say they met my expectations really well. The food looked fresh, delicious to taste and appealing to the eyes. Worth mentioning the restaurant is super clean, hygienic and very well maintained (specially washroom which usually is in miserable condition in most of the fast food places). I was served by the restaurant manager itself and I really appreciate she took time to explain to the curious me. I was awestruck that the great customer service still exists. She explained it really well how they produce food in house. The way they use freshest ingredients to produce their salsas and sauces literally forced me to try some menu items when I was already full. Their in house preparation of guacamole with fresh avocados and their chipotle crema were great hit. She went beyond by choosing just onions from veggies when I casually told her I don’t like peppers, also took an extra effort to replace cilantro rice with the simple rice as I don’t like cilantro too. The kind of customer service they offer is impeccable, so friendly and helpful. Restaurant Manager seemed so passionate, helpful and knowledgeable about food and service. Kudos to the owner and team, would definitely recommend this place and visit again soon. Once again thank you so much for the wonderful experience which made my day !“
“This was the 2nd time at Hamov and I have been left feeling amazed by the quality of the food, the friendly family owned staff and the modern atmosphere. The price for the quality of the food is also a big selling point. The first time I had the chicken Shawarma wrap and I have to say it from someone who has tried a lot of shawarma wraps over the years this may be the best one I have ever had. This time we got the mixed shawarma plate and mixed kabob plate for the family and both were excellent.Next time we plan to try to the wood oven shawarma pizza.I would highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys quality middle eastern food. You won’t be disappointed.Parking: Free parking lot around the back of the building.“
“Tried 2 of the gorditas, a couple of tacos and the jamaica hibiscus drink. It's a relatively small place with seating for maybe 8-10 people. The people working here are really warm and friendly, almost felt we were eating in someone's home. Their home made drinks come in really large containers and 2 people can easily share one. Must try if you are looking for Mexican food in the area.Vegetarian options: Plenty of veggie gorditas.“
“That's my favourite restaurant in Toronto! They have amazing sushi and Mexican with affordable prices. The sushi quality is comparable with the very famouse sushi places in the city and the pressed sushi is the best I've tried. I can't recommend enought this place.“
“AMAZINGBest authentic Mexican food spot in the GTA!Tried the tacos, the tortilla, and the burrito.Tacos: Tried the fish, chicken, and the beef tacos. Please see pictures. All tacos are decent size, base is of high quality, generous servings of filling, and a selection of hot sauces. 2 tacos will probably keep you full for a while.Burrito: Burritos here are huge. I tried the beef taco Beef cuts are good, cooked well, and blended with a mayo and lettuce filling. Wrapped in a good quality tortilla. A burrito will keep you full for most of the day.Sandwich: It's about 8 inches, but fluffy bread, lots of filling.Lamb Tortilla: I forgot what exactly this was called, but it's minced lamb meat served in an open tortilla. Also excellent. That they serve lamb is itself remarkable, the lamb being well-seasoned and maintaining the characteristic lamb aroma in a tortilla dish is even more remarkable.Hot sauces: I've tried the medium and hot sauce. The medium sauce is tolerable. The hot sauce is extreme, will burn your gums, but it's good. Prepare to drink lots of water to keep the mouth safe from extreme heat.Drinks: I didn't try ant of their drinks, but they have TopoChico water which is the Perrier sparkling water of Mexico, which I've tried before. I recommend having this ready when you're downing some hot sauce, you will need it.Interior is humble, it's a fast food spot after all, but this place demonstrates that an interior is not the end all be all. The restaurant at the Well has a good interior but their food is subpar. The humbler places have the better food.Staff were very friendly and were willing to explain the menu items to me. Food comes fresh and quick. This is an excellent food joint. It has a good reputation for quality and taste and that keeps bringing in the crowds. That is noble. They don't waste on loud advertising or try to snake you into deals like chain joints. This is simple, high-quality food.Vegetarian options: There's a few vegetarian dishes here like the nachos and the mushroom tortillas/tacos. Vegans and carnivores can dine together here.Parking: Across the street, there is a paid GreenP parking lot and street side GreenP parkingKid-friendliness: Very kid friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Yup“
“I recently had an amazing meal at Burrito Houz! The food was incredibly tasty and brought back some great memories. Plus, the portions were generous and the prices were just right. With a diverse menu and a variety of drinks to choose from, it’s definitely a place I’ll be coming back to. Highly recommend for a satisfying and memorable dining experience and the service was fast and friendly!“
“Food is amazing! (unless you don't like meat)I would definitely go back for the food. The service could be better, but the food makes up for it. I highly recommend the beef tongue special, if they have it. The tacos are also great and they have nice sauces!“
“We had the friendliest server, Rosie, who had amazing recommendations. The food was phenomenal. The four of us shared the chips, guac, and salsa, the street corn, and the chicken & habanero appy. We had the pork tacos, the barbacoa tacos, and the carne asada tacos. The barbacoa, in my opinion, was the best! We topped off our meal with the salted caramel brownie & churros. Omg. Omg. Omg. That brownie was unreal. Although the exterior of the building seems a bit….well, you know…. But holy smokes. The food. The service. The whole vibe. Incredible. The fact that the ENTIRE FOOD MENU is gluten free (the only thing with gluten is the beer, and they have specific glasses to serve them in so no cross-contamination occurs) I’m so impressed. We’re so so so grateful to have such a delectable place to eat and not have to pray we find the “GF” sign beside the dish, as one of us is celiac. (Cross-posting my review on multiple platforms because everyone needs to try this restaurant!)“
“You step into the restaurant, and the colours are festive and the decor is adorable. We were greeted by the sweetest woman who runs the place. We ordered tacos and and both types of enchiladas. They were perfect. Ended the night with crispy churros with both caramel and chocolate sauces. The food was delicious and as someone who had a lot of Mexican food, this place has the best so far that I've tasted in the GTA.“
“The closest thing to Mexican food that I have found in Canada. The taste is good and the quality too, the hibiscus water is very good and the glass coca is very good. After a time out of the country and finding these tacos it was an oasis. Nothing like Mexico but they are worth it!“
“Shout out to server bobby, he made the whole experience spectacular. Food was good with many many many options. Same for drinks from shots to cocktails. The espresso martini was pretty meh but it was within expectations still. The only server was booby - who was on the bar, at the front and serving tables. Chaotic but he managed to convey personality to everyone he served. Overall a good time and would come again 7/10“
“Food was fantastic! The most flavourful chicken enchilada I've had to date! Drinks were delicious and we had the churros and tres leche cake.... both were ?Seating is a bit crowded but you will enjoy having a meal here! Will be back again!“
“Got the Pastor, Birria, Carnitas and Chicken tacos.Order of my preference/Flavour:#1 is Carnitas#2 is Birria#3 is Chicken#4 is PastorAll are good tacos. Good size and filled with meat. All of the meat is flavourful and not dry. The medium hot sauce complements them all nicely. Definitely a top Taco spot in Etobicoke. Top 10 in Toronto.Parking: Very limited space parking infront of the store.“
“Amazing spot to get authentic tacos and heavenly delicious quesadillas! You don't want to try any other tacos once you get a taste of Casa Sonoras'!Quick and efficient, fresh, and delightful, these are the words this place goes by! ?“
“Glad to have found this place! Was just in Mexico earlier this year and their tacos...! Brings back all the memories! Love their tortilla! And their sauces and the flavors! Will definitely come back to try more things! Only thing I was craving with the food and the vibe was the alcohol! Would be great to have some beer or cocktails but they do not serve it. Maybe I should come back with a flask. But their food is legit!“
“Everything was fantastic!!! My friend and I had tuna tostadas for two to start and they were delicious, then we each a barbacoa taco, pawn taco and octopus taco they were all mouthwatering, variation in spice levels but really really excellent!!!“
“I've been to this place many times, always on a Wednesday. They have great daily specials from Monday to Thursday. I haven't had the mac and cheese there yet, but I've had the wings and very delicious. Amazing flavours and a nice little eating area if you decide to dine in.“
“I recommend this place because here you can find the flavor of real tacos, plus the portions are very well served, they have a good location; Kensington market, and above all their customer service is friendly and fast, if you are very hungry they will quickly fill your tummy here! ?. It is definitely a good place to go for taquitos ?❤️. Although they not only have tacos, they also sell esquites, elotes, typical Mexican sweets, chopped fruit with chamoy, and more products!I like the decoration of the place and the mural of the wrestlers, something very emblematic of Mexico ✨.PS: theskites are made of white corn like in Mexico! I love it 10/10“
“Amazing place found by accident, restored my faith in Toronto after a string of bad food and drinks and service. Food amazing, drinks fantastic , special shout out to Rachel, Scott and Jay , who made our experience magical, can’t wait to be back again!“
“Nachos, corn and burrito were flavourful and filling. Churros was a perfect way to finish. Mojito was just ok. Service wasn't perfect as the servers needed some reminding for items and corrections on the bill. Overall would recommend to others and come back.“
“Delicious food, kind and welcoming staff, good vibes. The team was very accommodating of our party's celiac/gluten allergies---was so happy to see that their fish tacos are corn-battered so they are totally gluten-free! Very glad we tried this place, will be coming back again for tacos!Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free taco shells (corn), and corn-battered fish (yay!), and all of their spicy sauces come on the side which is so thoughtful!“
“Used to come here all the time for lunch years ago when they first opened, I since changed jobs and no longer in the area. Today was like a reunion of flavour! Randomly stumbled by the area today, and realized that my once favourite burrito place is still open / operational. It was like seeing an old friend - was happy to be back!“
“Fantastic! 10/10 Experience. The tacos are absolutely incredible with such fresh flavours and generous portions. The consommé is to die for!! This is definitely the closest in Toronto you'll get to authentic flavours of food in México. The service is also absolutely phenomenal - so inviting and welcoming. Another plus: they use halal meat! Highly recommend“
“Always in search of some good Mexican food in Toronto & I think we found a good one!Parking is on the street. There are a lot of Greenp lots and spots nearby. We were lucky to find one close to the restaurant. The restaurant ambience is amazing and is a good spot for a date night or even to hang with a few friends. The crew was wonderful! They got our order on time, food was on time and cheque was on time too. They have good vegetarian taco options. We ordered cauliflower and poblano pepper taco, sweet potato taco, tinga chicken taco, and a couple of frescas ( they are made fresh everyday ) yumm.. Their tres leches cake is to die for ( do not miss this even if you are full ? )We enjoyed our time here and will come back with friends and family.Vegetarian options: They have a few vegetarian options which is great. Cauliflower, mushroom, sweet potato tacos in vegetarian options.“
“I went to their grand opening and tried their spicy chicken bites. It was made to perfection. I had chicken bites or popcorn at other places. This place makes you want to come back more. I think on my next visit ..I will order something. Are there any plans to more locations??“
