“It was my first time here , and I must say the food was very good I had the Jalea (for those that don't know it is fried seafood with onion and tomato like salad on top which makes it good) and I also order Lomo saltado ( it is beef with vegetables stir fried like but much better ) the portions were good and generous , so people go and try the Peruvian food on this new restaurant“

“I’m be been dying to try this place for sometime now and I am glad I finally did. I was pretty impressed. I got a complete healthy meal in under 5 minutes with absolutely delicious fresh Ingredients. Nothing was processed, which is rare these days. It honestly hit the spot and was soooo flavourful. I can’t wait to go back. I got the Chifa short rib“

“An absolutely delicious meal in a very cozy restaurant and nice friendly chat with the owner. Tried the antichuchos, ceviche pescado, sopa de parihuela, and their pisco sour, all were amazing!!Interesting to note the owner had to close the restaurant to walk-in clients early even though there seemed to be empty tables still, which appears to generate negative reviews, but when asked he said it's because there's a large party at the back which demanded a lot of attention, so there weren't enough resources to run the rest of the restaurant at full capacity. So I would strongly suggest to call ahead and make sure that you have a confirmed table especially on a weekend night before going. Also, if the food takes some time to arrive, don't worry it is well worth the wait :)“

“First time ever having Peruvian food! Fresh tilapia fish, sirloin beef sautéed, pollo a la Brasa…. Yum! And the most impressive dish is the Peruvian ice-cream! Should definitely try their coffee next time.“

“Chotto Matte is a must try. The food was absolutely amazing. The Amazonian salmon is a culinary masterpiece, the wagyu beef gyoza magnificent, the tempura shrimp were amazing with the sauce provided, while the spicy chicken karaage wasn’t great flavor wise the texture was a bit off putting it was perfectly crunchy on the outside but a bit slimy on the inside, the pineapple pomegranate duck breast was delicious - extremely flavorful, though we were not a fan of the pork and shrimp gyoza they eagerly replaced them with another wagyu beef gyoza. The service is outstanding. The wait staff and busser were extremely attentive, our water glasses didn’t stay empty long the moment they notices they refilled without prompting and finished plates were removed from the table.“

“New Sky Garden restaurant by Spadina and College is a local staple, established in Chinatown for decades. This review is based on a recent delivery order so no comments are made for in-person environment or customer service.
I ordered a selection of dishes:
Beef sauteed with ginger and green onions
Crispy beef with sesame - by far our favorite. The beef is coated and fried with a slight hint of sweetness, topped with sesame seeds. 4/5
Noodles with chicken and vegetables - this is a little different from the usual fried noodle dish. The noodles didn't seem as crispy or fried as I'm used to which was okay for us because it seemed less oily and not as salty. It suited my palate but I can see it as possibly offputting for others who may be more familiar with the more fried version. 4/5
Grouper and tofu - a favorite in our home. No fuss, plenty of fish and tofu, not too oily or salty, easy to eat and quite comforting. 4/5
Chinese bok choy with garlic - again a simpler dish but so easy to eat with a nice hit or garlic 4/5
Steamed Chinese chicken dish with dates and goji berries - I would say this has great authentic taste, rich and very flavorful. The only downfall is that you dont get a lot of meat and have to pick through it because it is bone in chicken with pieces oddly chopped. 4/5
Ha gow/shrimp dumplings - an easy staple with plenty of shrimp. No complaints overall. Tastes as expected. 4/5
Would I give New Sky Garden another try? I would actually because I'd like to try a few more dishes to get a more well rounded experience. I was eating with others so had to order with their palates in mind. Portions were decent for the price paid. Overall, a pleasurable experience.
Vegetarian options: They have a variety of veggies dishes and tofu dishes“
