“We ordered 12 xl pizzas tonight and I am pretty disappointed. One of our volunteers called with the number of slices we needed and instead of being honest, your store did the math with 8 slices in an XL pizza when there should be 12 and added a 12% tip without confirming first. We are a not for profit organization and this cost us over and beyond what it should have.

I messaged the owner who normally takes our order and he responded within 30 minutes to fix the issue. Although I found the store worker to have poor integrity, the owner was the very opposite.

“So, me and my granddad, Frank, were walking around down town (Simcoe & King area) looking for somewhere to get a bite to eat. So, he remembered this little pizzeria down on Celina St. I had passed by it many times myself, but had never actually eaten there. Well, we decided we'd give it a shot. We step inside, and this is what we see: About 6 or 7 tables, all with chairs, some amazing paintings straight from Italy, and a little woman in the kitchen, kneading some dough. So, we make our order (A deal seen on the little board outside- A large, 3 topping pizza for $13.99 + tax), and we check the place out a bit more. Something you cannot miss is the large, golden trophy sitting on the table behind the counter. I will definitely ask what they did to get it, next time. And, low and behold, it's actually a much bigger space than expected. That's because the little cafe beside it is actually PART of the restaurant! In this little part, there's some more fabulous paintings, a T.V. mounted on the wall, and a small bar. 20 minutes and a can of Coke later, she announced to us that the pizza was ready. We thanked her, paid, and left the restaurant with a smile following us from the owner. We walked back home, and even though we live a good 15 minutes away, when we set the box down on the table, it was still as hot as when we got it. We opened it up, and it was something I'd never experienced before. Mushrooms glistening from the steam, ham that had fused with the cheese, and ground beef that littered the surface was what we were welcomed to. And I kid you not, Frank, my granddad, actually said "Wow.". And wow was what should've been said. A smell of tomatoes and cheese filled the air, making our stomachs rumble and out mouths water. I had the first slice. It was heavenly. Now, let me put this out there. If you do not at first like the taste, then don't decide that you don't like it. Pompeii's Pizzeria makes the dough from scratch, uses a secret sauce recipe, and uses only the finest ingredients. You may only be used to Pizza Pizza, 241, or Little Ceaser's. What it is, is that you're just not accustomed to the greatness of eating fresh pizza. Give it time, and I assure you you will enjoy. Great food, a homestyle atmosphere, and a darling woman behind the counter, makes for one amazing little pizzeria. So, for all you readers out there, buon cibo, buon vino, buoni amici. “Went in to treat myself. Sat as a single at the bar and was instantly greeted by Rebecca, I started with a Stella on tap while I looked at the menu. Starter was the escargot, while I waited I was served fresh warm bread. Olive oil and balsamic vinegar at my side. Escargot was excellent. For my main I decided on the Veal Scaloppini with spaghettini and olive oil. Pasta and veal was almost perfection! Accompanied by a glass of Chianti I was in the element of the the room which bustled with professional servers and Owners at the ready to serve the very busy group of patrons. I topped off the evening with the chocolate tartuffo and a cappuccino. Special thanks to both Jessica and Rebecca for making my evening not only fulfilling but also graced with a certain level of professionalism and attention. I’ve treated myself a few times, Joel is also very professional, and for a restaurant in downtown Oshawa that has never disappointed I will continue to enjoy such hospitality. I highly recommend if ever in the area, treat yourself to excellent service, food and atmosphere.

“I've tried a lot of pizza in my life time. 😅 I feel a good pizza is completely subjective. Some people prefer thin crust, thick crust, extra saucy , toppings on top of the cheese or toppings underneath. So many variables.

So what one person loves, another might detest.

So when I see hit or miss reviews I don't necessarily let it deter me, from giving a spot a try.

This was my very first time trying Square Boy. They have multiple locations. Jenny was an absolute sweetheart and helped me navigate the menu.

I love that you can choose from Original, Garlic or Parmesan Crust at NO Extra cost .
The dough itself is a denser dough compared to other places.

Next time I'll have to try the bigfoot pizza. It's 28 Slices for $27.99“

“I don't go here very often, only once in a while, while passing through, but every time we have gotten pizza from here, it's always been delicious. I can't speak for all their food as when we go to Pizza Nova, we always just get a party pepperoni pizza. It has always been ready when we have gotten there and the staff has always been friendly. I find $30 for just pepperoni is a little pricey, and I think they should put a little more cheese on their pizza hence the 4 stars. The last couple times, there were spots on our pizza that didn't have any cheese, but other than that it still tasted great.“

It was a busy Friday night, with a huge wait line at the front of the store. Given how busy it was, Dylan was still able to pull through regardless of the difficulties the store was having in terms of keeping up with high volume of calls, orders, and pick ups. Dylan was friendly, helpful, and also flexible. I saw the kitchen getting overwhelmed, but let this be a friendly reminder that we’re all only humans, and that we can only do so much. We especially appreciated the “Papa-sized” option that allowed you to turn a large into an extra-large for just a few extra dollars.

Recently, however, that option has been removed from walk-in specials, and the cost of an extra-large pizza that once fed our young family of four for around $20 is now closer to $30. We understand these changes are likely driven by corporate decisions rather than the local store itself, but the end result is still disappointing.
