As a Wedding Planner, the Fairmont Château Laurier is one of my favourite downtown Ottawa venues! The spaces are truly one of a kind and the team there is exception. Highly recommend if you are looking for a wedding venue!
I had a strange experience at La Terrasse. I went without a reservation, fully aware that there might be a long wait. The staff were friendly and polite, and I was told the wait would be about 40 minutes and that they would call me if there were any cancellations. I was completely fine with that. Big disappointment with the food.
The cucumber was bitter and had no flavor. The bread for the tapas was dry and almost impossible to eat because it was so hard and crunchy.
The anchovies, however, have potential and are worth keeping on the menu. With better-quality bread and a few improvements to the food, the overall experience could be much better.
The only decent thing was the olives, but since they appeared to come from a jar, I have to give the credit...read full review
