“I was craving shawarma and found this place on my way home from work. I'm new to Ottawa and my shawarma standards are high because my hometown has amazing shawarma that no other spots have come close to and I've tried many places already in Ottawa. Let me tell you, this place DID NOT DISSAPOINT! Amazing shawarma every bit of it! I will definitely be returning. The best I've had in Ottawa by FAR!“

“Yesterday we went to this restaurant for the first time and I loved it. The guy serving was so polite and the food was amazing! So my husband and I decided to go back today and try it again. Wow what a different experience. I felt rushed even though we were early and there was nobody in line behind us directly. The one server was just berating the other server speaking in Arabic while he made our sandwiches. Seemed annoyed I didn’t want a drink with my meal. Seemed to just be rushing and not caring about us. Yesterday we were asked if we wanted sauce, today we had to ask for it on our own. Just not the same experience at all today. Shawarma is really good but if I’m going to feel like this at the place I will go somewhere else to spend money. Service is important. Thanks for making me feel unimportant.

Update: I went again today to try the shawarma and see if they would be better. The guy who served me was very nice and polite. The chicken here is superior to anywhere else in the city. So good! I still got a bit of a vibe from the other guy. Just a bit off but Wtvr. I will come back for the quality of the chicken.“

“All I can say is wow! My wife and I came here a while back for dinner, and what a treat! We had appetizers, calamari, dips and Greek salad. I had the kafta burger and fries and she had the souvlaki. There was so much food we couldn't eat dessert! And it all tasted amazing! We sat upstairs which had a nice ambiance and we had a prompt and friendly server. Overall a great dining experience!“

Menu with a large amount of different delicious choices. The review made by Ottawa Citizen one month after their opening is still very actual and totally worth the large amount of kudos received. The shawarma was flavorful, juicy, and perfectly seasoned, while the platter came with generous portions that made it very satisfying. “Zero complaints about this spot. The lineup wasn`t bad at all considering the time at which I went (12:00 PM) and although they didn`t have what I wanted on the menu, they accommodated me. The answer? Nothing has changed! Warm and welcoming faces to greet you as you enter. Attentive and speedy service. And mouth watering food.

Which to me far more important than speed. I called the location to give the staff a compliment through a manager however no manager was present but the person I spoke with was professional and wanted to help when I asked for a manager. “The shop has a lot of 90s charm with lots of parking and inside seating. We ordered two chicken shawarmas and a beef donair shawarma.

Reading the reviews after the fact, I'm unsure what to think...my meat was heated up in a pan on the stove and not the microwave. The gentleman behind the counter used gloves to touch the veggies. We didn't get sick and it was all very tasty! The location was a bonus as it was close to the Ingenium.

Honestly i wasn’t expecting that from boustan but they just changed my thoughts about them yesterday.
They have a good customer service and best part is they doesn’t charge you for some stuffs which other restaurants would charge you .they will not say no to you but will let you know gently that it was extra but we are giving you ,so you can let us know next time before you pay
And food were good specially the amount of meat they give it’s fine to be honest ,compared to other places.
And you can hangout with friends here or can bring your family .
I will come again next week for sure“
