“This family run restaurant is a hidden gem. I have tried many Pad Thais and this restaurant has the best Pad Thai I have ever had. This restaurant is most accommodating in helping my son, who has gluten and soy sensitivities, find things he can eat. “Delicious food, especially the pad Thai and pineapple rice. I believe I might have met the owner who gave kind and gracious service, and very accommodating for our large order! It tasted fresh even after a late pickup and drive home. Definitely would recommend checking out this small gem. The only thing I’m disappointed in is that I didn’t try them sooner!!“

“Very tasty pad see ew. My first thought was on how light the colour of the sauce was. I was worried it would taste plain. I was very surprised at the level of flavour achieved with such a light sauce. The next test is how does the beef taste. It tasted fresh and delicious on its own. No hiding old flavour with heavy sauce. The veggies were all fresh and delicious.

9/10 - would love to try all there other dishes.

“We live in the neighborhood and finally decided to stop in for some food, and boy are we glad we did! This will definitely be our new local takeout spot. The food was so yummy and flavorful, highly recommend the pad Thai and croquettes, and the spring rolls and whatever that sauce that comes with it are delicious!“

“We have been eating at Sabai Thai for years since we worked in the immediate area. The food is authentic, delicious and the portions are generous. This is right up there with other restaurants in terms of menu selection, but they blow everyone else away in terms of taste and value for money. “Good food, small space and big heart! Social Thai serves good food in a small space run by the nicest people. Don't judge the place from the outside. It is tiny with just a few tables. Venture inside for good food. We started with veggie and shrimp eggrolls, crispy and tasty. We had curry for the main course. Spicyness was subtle and potent but not overwhelming. We finished our meals with some delicious pistachio and chocolate pastries. If space and surroundings matter to you, try their take out. We will remember the restaurant as the small place offering good food serve by friendly people. Social Thai on the corner of Bank and Waverley.“

“Finally today, I decided to go back to Thai Express. I work just across the street and due to bad customer service from my previous experiences, I avoided the place. Today, I thought to give them another chance, and I thought to myself that I would just suck it up on the bad service. Well, I received burnt food for takeout. Customer service was finally improved because the regular girl cashier no longer worked there, but how could you possibly serve customers burnt food? You can smell it as you were cooking and you can see the blackness. There's a snow storm out so I didn't bother to go back, so I had to eat this terrible food I paid for. The franchisor of Thai Express really should be aware of this place, I have heard nothing but horrible things about them. And once again, they have proved everyone right.

UPDATE*** There's a new owner at this location and they have honestly changed this place around. The food is delicious, the customer service is superb. I am truly impressed with the new staff and happy to come back here over and over again. Thank you!“

“Quality of food has gone downhill. General Tao chicken was sour and house fried rice was basically chicken fried rice with 2 shrimp thrown in. Very disappointed.“

The portion is huge compared to other Thai Express I’ve been to. The interior is clean and well lit. I will definitely be back!“

“Lemongrass never fails to deliver the best quality Thai food. I’m addicted to their Pineapple Fried Rice and their Wonton Soup. Very tasty and comes in very generous portions. I can say it’s always worth a visit and I always get good value for my money.

I got served by Hongli the last time I visited and she provided a great customer service.

She was very polite and made sure I got served on time and also checked to make sure I was happy. Thanks to Hobgi I will be visiting again next week and will try out their Sweet and Sour Tilapia when I visit.“

“Alright, so this place kind of struck me as soon as I walked in by just being wonderfully quiet compared to the street outside. I came in on a really hot, busy weekday, and inside it was just serenely quiet and cool. The tables are awesome, even if it’s maybe a weird thing to fixate on, but they’re these big, solid wood tables with like 2 inch thick quartz granite tops. It was really nice to put your arms on the cool granite on a super hot day. It was just a really nice sensory contrast to the street outside.

I have been to many Thai express during the road trips across East Ontario and Quebec and I always expect the same taste for my Pad Thai. However, the tastes are all slightly different from restaurant to restaurant. This restaurants gives the taste that I expect and I believe this is what chain restaurants value the most.

Plus, the kitchen area and tables are always kept clean, staff is quite but very professional.“
