“This family run restaurant is a hidden gem. I have tried many Pad Thais and this restaurant has the best Pad Thai I have ever had. This restaurant is most accommodating in helping my son, who has gluten and soy sensitivities, find things he can eat. I wish they were closer to me because I would frequent their establishment much more often. Definitely a place to go. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐“

“Last evening, before going to a show, we stopped in for a quick dinner - we will be going back for sure!
The restaurant is clean, service was incredibly friendly, and food was delicious with generous portions (we didn’t leave a bite) the price was also a pleasant surprise.

“Very tasty pad see ew. My first thought was on how light the colour of the sauce was. I was worried it would taste plain. I was very surprised at the level of flavour achieved with such a light sauce. The next test is how does the beef taste. It tasted fresh and delicious on its own. No hiding old flavour with heavy sauce. The veggies were all fresh and delicious.

9/10 - would love to try all there other dishes.

“Quality of food has gone downhill. General Tao chicken was sour and house fried rice was basically chicken fried rice with 2 shrimp thrown in. Very disappointed.“

“We live in the neighborhood and finally decided to stop in for some food, and boy are we glad we did! This will definitely be our new local takeout spot. “We have been eating at Sabai Thai for years since we worked in the immediate area. The food is authentic, delicious and the portions are generous. This is right up there with other restaurants in terms of menu selection, but they blow everyone else away in terms of taste and value for money. Mel and her family work so hard and give so much back to the food community in Ottawa, can’t recommend this place enough!“

“We loved eating here. My 9-year old loved the pad thai. We ordered green curry -- it was full of flavor. We got squash fritters and they were crazy good. Great spring rolls. But be prepared for some steep prices. About $20 per dish. The place itself is cute and has a good vibe. Once I got over the shock of the price, I ended up really enjoying myself! “Lemongrass never fails to deliver the best quality Thai food. I’m addicted to their Pineapple Fried Rice and their Wonton Soup. Very tasty and comes in very generous portions. I can say it’s always worth a visit and I always get good value for my money.

I got served by Hongli the last time I visited and she provided a great customer service.

She was very polite and made sure I got served on time and also checked to make sure I was happy. Thanks to Hobgi I will be visiting again next week and will try out their Sweet and Sour Tilapia when I visit.“

“Finally today, I decided to go back to Thai Express. I work just across the street and due to bad customer service from my previous experiences, I avoided the place. Today, I thought to give them another chance, and I thought to myself that I would just suck it up on the bad service. Well, I received burnt food for takeout. Customer service was finally improved because the regular girl cashier no longer worked there, but how could you possibly serve customers burnt food? You can smell it as you were cooking and you can see the blackness. There's a snow storm out so I didn't bother to go back, so I had to eat this terrible food I paid for. The franchisor of Thai Express really should be aware of this place, I have heard nothing but horrible things about them. And once again, they have proved everyone right.

UPDATE*** There's a new owner at this location and they have honestly changed this place around. The food is delicious, the customer service is superb. I am truly impressed with the new staff and happy to come back here over and over again. Thank you!“
