“I have been going to Pho Bac for a very long time. I honestly haven't tried much of their menu because the pho is my favourite in the city. This is a small family that runs the restaurant which shows, as the quality of food is high & consistent.“

Tables cleared under 5 minutes. Called for help only when needed. Handled both take-out and dine in without breaking pace. Knows how to hold plates and deliver confidently. “Great vermicelli pork and spring roll bowl! You can choose how many toppings you want, and the price is quite good. Their vietnamese coffee with condensed milk is delicious too. I do have to say that my partner got double the amount of spring roll for no apparent reason though, but nevertheless, definitely try it on a warm summer day!“

“My favorite Pho place along this stretch. Service is always fantastic, and portion sizes are very good for the price. Everything I've tried off the menu is very tasty. I do wish they were open a bit later, but it's still a favourite of mine for a takeout supper.“

“We went during the Victoria Day long weekend after going to the Ottawa Tulip Festival. All restaurants were busy that weekend and although we made a reservation at a different restaurant, they reached capacity and the long wait would have gotten us late to see the fireworks and drone show. This restaurant was able to seat us and the two girls working there were so accommodating, patient and sweet. Food was great and the decor was cute! Will definitely go again to try other dishes.“

“If I could give a 100/10 for service I would! The owner once we walked in said take out only after 9pm... he saw how frozen we were coming in from -27°, said no problem you sit! Ordered two medium well done x2 beef pho and stirfry lemongrass beef vermicelli. Asked to make the pho spicy. THE FLAVORS WERE INCREDIBLE! Everything came out hot and quick! Perfect spot to warm up after a cold cold night. Deff a must try! 10/10 Big thanks to the nicest staff! 🙏🏾“

“First of all，I felt so bad that my brain wasn't function so well that I left the 3 dollars for tips on my bill. Should have asked the male server tonight to exchange the 10 or 20 dollars bill so I can tip him a little more (to him and the owner who asked us if we need hot tea on this cold fall day). The waiter today have helped us feel very much welcomed in the store (even tho he was a little bit shy to my observation). Very informative when we asked him for recommendation and very nice guy. If I was anyone who have had bad experience about the food, I wouldn't be mad if he was the waiter.
The food was quite okay, there are some food option that we really like from VietNam but couldn't be found in AB, this definitely a +. The flavor was Okay not bad but also not the top (we had hủ tiếu xào aka stir fried large size noodles and thịt kho tộ aka pork stew in hot bowl). For hủ tiếu xào I like the sweet of the cabbage mix it to the sauce, couldn't go wrong l. Too bad that I was expecting more sauce and thicker texture. The large size noodle from my point of view was not handmade, if was a little bit more cook to get darker color and smoked smell, it would be awesome like what would be done exactly in Chinese restaurant in VietNam.
For thịt kho tộ, I can smell and taste the pepper as what it should be for this kind of meal you would have. Only a - point was the color was a bit muddy deal to ingredients they add to the bowl. The pork was sliced like beef was maybe a little bit not what you would expected from this dish in VietNam but that wouldn't be a problem to my experience.
The place was well organized in bright and clean.
Parking was a bit tough.
In general, a 4++ (4,4) and I would recommend friend to come try. (Just the food haven't stand out too much to give m a Wow)“

“This restaurant has been one of the (if not THE) favourite for years in our household. The food is absolutely awesome, portions are hefty, and prices are reasonable. The menu has not changed much in years, but that's fine with us. There are so many choices. Service is good, but they are so busy, no time for chit-chat. The atmosphere could use a bit of sprucing up, but it's still good. We like take-out since it's so close to home.“

“We visited this restaurant for dinner as a family on a Saturday evening. The food was excellent even though it took a little longer than anticipated. We ordered one house special pho, one lemongrass chicken vermicelli, one fried chicken poke and one salmon poke.

The server apologized for the delay. It was a busy night with the restaurant full of patrons as well as many take-out orders. Perhaps this was the reason contributing to why it took longer for the food to arrive than anticipated.

It was a pleasant experience overall. I will return if I am nearby the area next time on a weeknight perhaps.“

“Good Banh Mi must have liver pate, a little mayo or aioli, birds eye chilli paste, pickled veg, meat, and a fresh baked bun that is crunch in the outside but still light and airy on the inside. I lived in Hoi An, Bourdain's self-proclaimed Banh Mi capital of Vietnam, so I know what it takes to make a good one.

This is good here, but ultimately misses the mark in the special touches that take it from a regular sub sandwich to a proper Banh Mi. Hoping they improve on the little things and it could become the best in the city!“

“I know most people will likely be coming here for the pho or noodles, but they serve the best General Tso's chicken you'll ever have in your life. The service can admittedly be a bit slow - but i can guarantee you it's all worth it for the general Tso's chicken. The combination of flavours and veggies that go with the perfectly cooked chicken is immaculate. It's everything you want in a crispy and saucy fried chicken dish, but without being overwhelmingly greasy: instead, it's fresh, tender, and beautiful. Again, come for the pho - and stay for the general Tso's chicken.“

I ordered the spiciest curry on the menu with the added wish "extra spicy," and the kitchen did not disappoint. Generous portions, fresh ingredients, good pricing. During my two hours in the restaurant, a valuable piece of jewellery fell to the floor and I left without it. I contacted the restaurant about it and left my name and address. “If anyone says anything negative about this place I beg you to ignore them. I have a few severe food allergies that I am usually pretty clear on everytime I show up to dine in. Its my own risk for doing this but I can say that most things I tried, including the crispy noodle chow mein, are totally safe for peanut/nut allergies and sea food allergies. Look if youre celiac maybe thinnk of eating somewhere else?? I dont think any asian restaurant in the area is gluten friendly I would skip altogether dont be a bother. The pho is KILLER, better then noodle house down the road, may not have as many options as them but phu yens broth is more then authentic. Even the chinese food is really really good, and again for allergies you never know but be very clear with the staff, Cause I eat here all the time and never had a single reaction, where i went to an indian place not far and that right away gave me a reaction I just ordered a rice dish from the place. Long story short, I love their hot coffee, 5/5 stars for that, crispy chow mein is insane, pho is delicious, their vermicelli and rice/meat dishes tastes fresh everytime, dont expect a 5 star meal here folks but I guarantee what quality they have to offer should blow you away.“

“One of my favorite asian restaurant for a weekend date. The food is fresh, flavourful pad Thai, and a warm atmosphere. They have live band playing on the weekend! No need to pay entrance fees, keep that money to spend on additional food or drinks !“

“I used to live very close to this place. Was my favourite restaurant. I no longer live as close and don’t go as much but the food is incredible. I love the vermicelli and pho. They offer tea when you sit down. The owner isn’t very sociable and can seem unfriendly at times but he is hard working and makes good food.“

“Great service overall, great desert. My only issue is that pho was just missing something, the flavours were not as rich and lacked depth. My husband and I ordered tendons etc but the broth had a quarter sized tendon in each our broth. Kinda disappointing but the other meat were fair (well done beef and brisket).“
