“I have been a loyal customer of The Kabab Shoppe across GTA locations, and it remains one of my absolute favorite spots to dine.

The Tandoori Chicken Bowl paired with rice, fries, or salad is ridiculously delicious—easily some of the best food around. Having eaten here countless times, I can always count on top-notch quality and fresh ingredients, and the restaurant consistently maintains an exceptionally clean and hygienic environment, which gives me complete peace of mind whenever I order.

If you are looking for dishes to try, the Butter Chicken, Shish Kababs, and Samosas are all incredible and well worth ordering. On top of the food quality, having late-night hours until 3 AM makes it an unbelievably convenient go-to spot. Highly recommended!“

“I visited Helmand Kabab yesterday around 3:00 PM, and I had a great experience. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the naan—it was fresh, soft, and one of the best I’ve had.

I also want to recognize the young lady who was working at that time. She provided outstanding customer service, was very friendly, welcoming, and made us feel comfortable throughout our visit.

“This shawarma spot really stands out, especially for the fries—they’re easily some of the best I’ve had. Perfectly crispy, well seasoned, and paired with their garlic sauce, they’re honestly addictive and worth coming back for on their own.

The shawarma itself was fresh, flavorful, and packed properly with good portions. Everything tasted well-balanced, not overly greasy, and clearly made with care.

Ali, the owner, was very welcoming and takes real pride in the place. You can tell he cares about the food and the customer experience, and that energy carries through to the whole staff. Everyone was friendly, quick, and made the visit feel comfortable and easy.

Overall, a solid spot with great food and even better service. Definitely a place I’d recommend if you’re craving good shawarma and seriously good fries.“

“I recently visited Kandahar Kabab in Pickering, drawn by its reputation for flavorful Afghan cuisine. The menu offers a wide variety of grilled meats, rice platters, and traditional sides, with standout items like the Chicken Tikka Kebab, Chapli Kabab, and Lamb Shank. The portions were generous, and the meat was well-seasoned and cooked to perfection. The Mango Lassi was a refreshing complement to the meal. However, the experience was a bit inconsistent. While some staff were friendly and attentive, others seemed overwhelmed, especially during busy hours. Wait times for food can be long—even when the restaurant isn’t crowded. Huma was the best! always smiling and ready to serve customers. The ambiance is casual, leaning more toward a takeout vibe than a dine-in destination. Prices are on the higher side for the portion sizes, but the flavor and authenticity of the dishes can make it worthwhile“

“The food and service here is genuinely amazing. I have been catering all my family/friend parties with this restaurant for over 8 yrs and each time they amaze me. Food is always so fresh and tasty. Food is provided hot and with care. The owner also helps with taking the trays I to my car and the packaging of food is secure to ensure no spills. Quality is perfect.

I have referred my friends and family who have equally been impressed with their food and service. I always feel so welcomed with warm greetings from the owners and staff. I trust them fully with all my events.“

“Very satisfying. Meat was perfectly cooked. Ordered combo 3 - asked for 2 chicken tikka instead of 1 chicken and 1 beef. Also ordered combo 6 - lamb and chicken tandoori tikka.
Good sized portions. I like the good sized salad that comes with pickled veg and a creamy dressing. Fed 2 adults and 2 kids plus we brought home the leftover rice and naan. Order, pay and grab a seat. There are large glass bottles of cold water in the fridge that you can enjoy when you sit in.“

“I tried the Bolani & chicken meal, it was extremely delicious. The food was super fresh. The service was excellent and welcoming. The food was a little bit expensive but I think it was worth it i enjoyed everything. They also have a wide range of selection of food to choose from and good options for children or large groups. There is also free parking available“

“We recently tried the full tandoori chicken at Maimana Naan & Kebab, and it was excellent. The flavor was a bit different from the usual tandoori chicken, with what seemed like an Afghan-style touch that made it unique and memorable. The chicken was juicy on the inside, nicely crisp on the outside, and cooked perfectly. The spice blend was well balanced and very flavorful.

My only suggestion would be to improve the value by making it more of a complete meal. Adding a couple of naan breads along with some salad or rice would make a big difference and complement the chicken perfectly.

“This place has excellent quality food and friendly service. I ordered the chicken breast kebab dinner. The chicken is perfectly seasoned, juicy and tasty! The naan bread is soft and fluffy. In fact, I can eat it by itself. The Greek salad is so fresh and I love the dressing. I like their Greek salad better than those at Greek restaurants. Overall, I am just happy to have a quality restaurant near my home where I can go to get quality food anytime.“

“This is a small take out inside an afghan grocery. The workers are kind and clean. Plenty of options but call ahead for larger orders.

The bolani is the most famous and a HUGE portion for 7$. You get 4 bolani in one!

Catering is minimum 20 people for 20$ each platters.
