“Our entire experience was terrific. The scenery was breathtaking ; you eat your meal right at the edge of the mountain top! The food was delicious; every single course was thoroughly enjoyed. They brought out so much food that we were very full, and I didn't even take advantage of the “unlimited” part of the meal. I loved the bbq'd chicken and the very refreshing pineapple and cucumber salad the most. We both loved the dessert too! The caramel covered funnel cake fries, the refreshing peach sorbet, and the other ice creams were delicious too. Our server was Francois. He was friendly and efficient. He gave us enough time to enjoy every course without making us wait too long in between each course. We highly recommend this restaurant.”

VERY VERY known rough part of town. Basically the clientelle are bikers, old punk rockers, hippys, gypsies, loading dock supervisor and just plain ANGRY people. You even look near any of this crew you will get a scowel and a punch in the mouth.”

“We’ve been to this bakery twice now on our day trips through the area. It’s never disappointed.
The butter tarts are in my opinion the best I’ve tasted. The pastry and the filling are perfection, leaving you wanting more. In fact we bought a couple to eat in the car before heading back on the road, enjoyed them so much my husband went back in to buy a dozen more.
Another favourite is the lemon pie; we bought one last year and were happy to get another this time along with a rhubarb pie.
I’m sure we’ll be back before fall to stock up on more; glad they’re an hour away but also very sad they are an hour away 🙃”

“I love the Ashanti Coffee House. My favourites are the Sandwiches, nicely toasted. Cheesy yummy goodness. The coffee is great and I like picking up a few of the roasted coffee sacks for growing potatoes in my garden. Just get one of the sacks, fill it with 4 inches of soil in the spring. Place 5 potatoes in a star pattern (like the five star rating) and when the sprouts break through and get leafy, just add some more soil and keep doing that for 90 days... and voila a bag of potatoes... coffee sack becomes potato sack.. hows that for a coffee shop!”

“I absolutely love that little Cottage and Kelly (I think) that was working there is a very *kind person. The coffee was Delicious & the samosa was Superb ! There was a loaf of Cake there & I should have bought it ; but I was "thumbing & didn't want extra weight in case I started Walking.. I decided that I really needed to go out there & {enjoy} another coffee snack & get some baked goods to take home. When I looked online, like ?Sunday, the schedule displayed that it was Open every day ; so I contacted a friend to meet me there tomorrow (Thursday), after I drop by my storage unit. I just got a text fr. the friend saying that he believed it was Closed for the Season. I tel. & there was no Ans. I'm very disappointed, as it has become a *fav. place in town ! We don't have one in Owen Sound but certainly welcome one if anyone is interested in opening one by East Side where many food places are situated

I didn't get a name of young man who prepared my pita but whoever he might be, I give him 5 stars for his friendliness and talent with generous amounts of different ingredients - I haven't eaten one of these since Summer 2021 when I lived in west end Toronto
