“What a lovely setting for a morning cuppa (or lunch). The Old Bank Arcade is a stunning retail and office complex, beautifully refurbished (the old BNZ branch, 1901-1984, is a Category I Place of special historical and cultural significance). I was fortunate to find a seat in this always busy, popular cafe. And was treated to the best (and perhaps) largest date and apple scone, warmed, and served with a pot of leaf. Friendly, efficient service too. I timed it just right to enjoy the Arcade’s animated musical clock (which plays at the top of the hour).“
