Chinese Bakery 大龍鳳餅家 is a no frills looking Chinese bakery that offers traditional, old-school Hong Kong bakery taste. The buns and pastries are simple, a little rough around the edges, but undeniably familiar. It is affordable, with many items as cheap as it can be. The price is very good and the buns are tasty. The best item is the chicken pies. The egg tarts come in a pack of 6 for $6, which cannot beat that price. The taro cake is deepfried, not sweet and so tasty. The matcha sponge cake is delightful, and the steam rice cakes are also loved. The original pineapple buns are delicious. If going later in the evening, there is a deal of $10 for 10 buns. The produce is all fresh, produced consistently with taste and great service. Service is good, with people working there always trying to strike a deal. Parking lot isn’t big; during the day it’s not too bad, but at night it’s like a zoo.
