Dim Sum Restaurants in Scarborough, ON

“Great variety. Lots of sushi options.. it was our first time trying Daikon (Radish) Rolls which replaces the seaweed + rice, and we found them quite refreshing.

The combo with dim sum is unique too.. loved the Beef Tripe and Sticky Rice. I’d stay away from the Peking Duck however, it doesn’t include crispy skin.

You also get a nice ambiance with dine-in, can hold a conversation without shouting. Only reco here is for more playlist variety.. they had Taylor Swift on repeat.. for nearly 2 hours.“

“We tried the jumbo Har Gow (delicious) shrimp and vegetable gow (our favorite/delicious); truffle har gow; pork & shrimp siu mai & shrimp rice roll. Each one well packed with English / Chinese instructions. Will definitely return for more.“

“Tak Fu Dim Sum Emperor is my favourite Dim Sum place in GTA. This place is very nostalgic to me since the dim sum here taste like what I used to have all the time in Hong Kong when I was a kid 30+ years ago. The restaurant sign is faded, small/cramped inside, no fancy renovation or decoration and it's usually 1 server so don't expect stellar customer service but if your looking for OG HK style dim sum, this is the place.“

“First time buying frozen dim sum from Wa Jee Foods. I found them from Google Map search and didn't know much about them. The chive shrimp Har Gow was very good and I highly recommend it. The chicken shimai was on the dry side. Overall I am happy with their quality and will come back again in the future.“

“Went back today to try black sesame bao with salt “egg custard” filling (Delicious!); Fung Shing shrimp dumplings and Chicken siu mai. Great place for frozen dim sum!

We’ve tried a few frozen dim sum places at Milliken & Finch. This store is clean, attractive with lots of frozen dim sum, frozen cooked food and desserts. We bought Jumbo shrimp har gow and Beef Brisket with tofu skin (cut brisket into smaller pieces - very good). Prices reasonable. Will return for more, thank you!“

“The modern atmosphere is beautiful as you're eating delicious handmade soup dumplings. The wallpaper and lights are beautiful. You have to order online by scanning a QR code on your phone. You can make special dietary changes, they're very flexible. There's not much interaction with the employees. It's almost completely empty and quiet. The food makes me speechless. It's exactly the perfect amount of savory. I definitely recommend coming here“

“A nice busy Taiwan/Shanghai cuisine restaurant, bright & fresh interior with a nice vibe, great food of northern Chinese dim sum and noodles, extensive menu, juicy 小籠包, 紅燒牛肉麵 with soft succulent big chunks of beef shank, fast efficient service with helpful staff.“

“The place is a bit run down but the food is not bad especially considering the price. This time they offer 17 dollar a pound for lobster and it is just a few dollars on top of what u will paid at supermarket.

“Dim sum is fairly good quality for a great price. They have specials depending on the day of week where all dim sum dishes are a certain price. We were seated quickly and the service was great. The options are fairly standard offering all the traditional dim sum dishes. Our food was served fairly quickly and tasted fairly good. Overall, it was a filling meal for a fair price and good quality dim sum.“

“I was introduced to Lotus Vegetarian Restaurant by a dear friend when I was visiting town. It was my first time tasting vegetarian Chinese food and to my pleasant surprise, it was absolutely delicious! Every dish was flavorful, and honestly, did not lack the taste of meat!

We ordered Mapo Tufu, Fried Noodle with Assorted Vegetables (item menu no. 94), Mock Sharkfin Soup (item menu no. 21), Stirfried Pad Thai (item menu no. 104), and my personal favorite, the Assorted Gluten plate (item menu no. 6). I was so into the appetizer plate, I only remembered to take a photo at the end!

If you are looking to try something new or even a new side of Chinese cuisine, I would highly recommend trying Lotus Vegetarian Restaurant. We will be back for more for sure!“

“This is where you can get HALF PRICED Peking Duck in Scarborough✨This Peking Duck is SOLID, considering you can get one full Duck for $31.80 with the order of ANY dish- the Skin is crispy, tender, juicy Meat, came with a good amount of Wrapper😌You can get the remaining Duck chopped up for the same price OR add $10 to get it cooked into a Lettuce Wrap dish😋We also got Sliced Flank Steak with String Beans, Dried Fish & Chili Sauce, to be honest this dish was meh, a bit tasteless but the Beef was tender😬This Meal came with complimentary Soup and Dessert, INSANE value‼️“

“We have had DimSum in many places from Saskatchewan to Ontario and even in China and I must say this was the best Dim Sum I have ever had, not to mention that the service was excellent. I would highly recommend Ginger and Onion to anyone looking for a Dim Sum meal. Cost was very fair.“

“Who else provides a 24 hour service and discount dim sum before 11am on weekdays with sufficient free parking? There are other dishes available like sizzling beef steak on hot plate....at 2am in the morning! Ok, food quality is kinda hit and miss and dim sum cannot be compared to those institutions up North, but all things considered, they're really the only gig in town!“
