“I am usually not a Taco typa guy, but this place got me reconsidering my life choices. It was actually really realllly good. Fresh ingredients and delicious food. The Birria Tacos were excellent, so much flavor in every bite. We tried the Chicken Tacos and Beef Tacos, and they were really good as well. We also got the Chicken and the Steak Quesadillas, and boy oh boy, they were so juicy and yummy. The kids loved em. Lol they thought it was a new type of pizza. We will be back again to try the fish tacos, they were sold out. And I personally will be back for those Birrias. Ps, If you are there and not sure what to get, like we were, ask the staff, they were really helpful at making great recommendations.“

“Chai Kee has similar style as the previous Jim Chai Kee in Richmond hill. The difference is that this one is self served style with a famous speciality - pork liver noodle. Pork liver is something you cannot make it well and at Chai Kee, it is very well made. Their menu is somewhat specialized a beef, pork liver and fish ball (more like fresh fish paste) . They have nice noodles , deep fried fish skin and for some reason, they have condensed milk toast with milk tea. I have been there at least four times :) At the beginning , it was very crowded but now it is a nice busy pace. I love their pork liver and beef noodle . I also had fish ball and liver noodle too. What I liked about them: 1. Amazing price 2. Good food and the pork liver is amazing 3. Very clean 4. Nice service So I’d recommend chai Kee for a good wholesome noodle place For an amazing price“

“When I first entered the shop, there was someone inside, and I thought it was owned by an Arab or Syrian, since shawarma originated in Syria or is considered Arab. But the shawarma is amazing, the taste is delicious. They are kind people. There was a man inside who was from India, a very polite person. I really liked this restaurant.“

“Arrived right when they were closing and cleaning up. I was just going to walk away because having worked in the food industry for a bit, I know how troubling it is for the workers to take more orders after cleaning up. However, the worker named Wilson there was very kind to me and offered to take my order. When I was paying, the worker had some small talks with me and found out I was biking in the cold, he bagged the food for me very carefully. It was very heart-warming on a chilly October night.🥹

“Had lunch at Sunset Caribbean Takeout & Catering and tried out their smoked jerk chicken which came with rice and peas and side coleslaw. I really enjoyed this smoked rendition of jerk chicken and the food overall was very flavorful. Also ordered a beverage which included pineapple, coconut, and flaxseed which was also very tasty. If you are in Scarborough, the East of Toronto, make sure to check out this take out restaurant. They are open 12-8 pm Mon-Fri, 8-8pm Sat. They have lunch specials on weekdays and have recently introduced breakfast Caribbean style on Saturdays too.“

Thanks to an article in Toronto Star food section years ago, which totally changed the fate of the restaurant. I still recalled the line up after the article.
