About Rouge Park Pie Stand

Rouge Park Pie Stand is a charming, rural pie stand offering a variety of homemade pies and butter tarts. Located near the Toronto Zoo, the stand operates on an honor system, with a jar for payments. The pies, priced at $12, include options like caramel apple, raspberry blueberry, and strawberry rhubarb, while the butter tarts are a popular choice. The stand is self-serve and has a rustic charm. The pies are known for their freshness and delicious taste, with some customers praising the watery syrup consistency of the butter tarts. Visitors have enjoyed the flaky pastry and fresh fillings, with flavors like caramel apple pie, pumpkin pecan pie, and others changing regularly. During holidays like Thanksgiving, the owner offers a "big" version of the tart, which is the same size as a pie, and often restocks the pies while they are still warm. Some customers have traveled from afar, taking Ubers to get there, and have found the journey worth it for the tasty treats. Although the stand can be easy to miss, clear signage and nearby cars help guide visitors. The pies are freshly baked, but it's unclear if they are restocked throughout the day. Overall, the friendly atmosphere and high-quality pies make Rouge Park Pie Stand a delightful stop for pie lovers.

This place is really amazing but I came very late in the day so there wasn't much left but a really huge butter tart. So I bought 1. I never had one before. This butter tart, is really fresh, full of flavour, and the texture is really good. They do take cash and etransfer and you need to call a number to set it up. But really good and I will try to come earlier so I can get a caramel apple pie, if there is one. Or just an apple pie.
Thanks so much for doing this.

I love this! Picked up some butter tarts from here and they were very good. Cash only btw!

Upon realizing the lack of cash between my comrade and I, us foolish pie seekers took two Ubers, to and fro from the Pickering Metro, and then selected a fine Cinnamon Apple pie, one day old — our journey from the stand and out through rouge park was perilous, facing risks to life and limb physically and legally, though we survived and arrived at the designated abode — it proved a delicious birthday pie consumed that evening with whipped cream
