“The Taiwanese intestine vermicelli (大腸麵線) was really good and definitely the highlight for me. The flavor was very authentic, the portion was generous, and one bowl was filling enough to make a full meal. I’d definitely recommend trying it.

The Taiwanese meatball (肉圓) was decent. The popcorn chicken (鹽酥雞) came in a surprisingly large portion and had an authentic flavor, but unfortunately it was a little over-fried and not crispy enough.

Overall, a solid spot for Taiwanese comfort food. I’d definitely come back for the 大腸麵線!“

“The place is pretty big and feels comfortable because the tables aren't crowded together. Nice decor. There's quite a bit of choice on their menu and the wait staff are courteous and fairly efficient. Some things I find I may like at other places a little better and they're also cheaper. But overall the food is decent. They do give a discount (10%?) if you pay in cash. The restaurant is in a plaza. There's quite a bit of parking (free) when we went for dinner on a Tuesday but it might be harder to find a spot on the weekends since there are quite a few other eateries, a grocery store, stores in general and even a dim sum restaurant in the plaza.“

“I recently visited Sugar Marmalade and had an absolutely fantastic experience. Right off the bat, the atmosphere is warm, cozy, and inviting and it’s the perfect spot to hang out and satisfy your sweet tooth. The service was also top-notch as the staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything came out quickly.

The food is absolutely delicious, but their shaved ice bowls are the real star of the show! We ordered two different ones, and they completely blew us away. The first was a gorgeous strawberry shaved ice and it was incredibly light and refreshing! The second bowl was an absolute dream for bubble tea lovers. The textures and flavors were spot on.“

Love the 魯肉飯Minced pork rice!!! It’s my favorite!! But it would be better if I could order the soft-boiled eggs 半熟蛋with the rice🥹🥹
Anyway, it’s so glad that I finally found local Taiwan dishes in Markham! LOL“

Blindfold me with earplugs, and I'd still find my way to this restaurant, as the unmistakable aroma of stinky tofu is perceptible a mile away. The aroma is actually much more pungent than its taste, and the mouthwatering savoury and salty taste accompanies a light crisp on the golden exterior and a moist, airy interior. It was a wonderful appetizer to the heartwarming bowl of hand-pulled noodles, each strand having a satisfying bounciness that soaks up the beefy, pickled broth with pickled mustard wonderfully. The slices of lean beef are surprisingly tender, but the tendons melt into a gooey, creamy texture in your mouth and release a delicious beefy aroma. Also, the douban chili oil that you can scoop as much as you want? Literal crack.“

“The food here is good, good amount of portions and especially the best one, popcorn chicken imo. Comes with 3 sides 1 meat and rice. I went to this place a couple times and so far its fantastic. The ingredients and food are fresh and the service is also good. Its a quick pace shop with no place to sit which is a downside but the food court beside makes up for it. The workers are hard working and quick to help. It had been busy all the times I went.“

My wife and I came here every morning for breakfast while we stayed in Toronto.

The prices are really affordable and the combo came with so much food!
Their Traditional Taiwanese Rice Ball was on point and tastes just like how you would have it in Taiwan!
Everything they had was delicious, we tried their sandwiches, egg crepe, and their drinks.

If we ever visit Toronto again we will definitely be coming back to Sunny Taiwanese Breakfast“

“Thanks so much Cowa for providing such excellent service, especially during cold weather. The food always arrived at our front door warm and delicious. It saved us so much time and portion is big for both mom and dad! I compared a few confinement food companies in GTA and at the end decided to go with Cowa because;(1) it has a central commercial kitchen with permit from the city instead of home kitchen(2) it has a set pre determined menu(3) it allows me use my own glass boxes(4) the service is excellent (thanks to Brandon) and provide lots of flexibility when I wanted to switch the menu a bit.Last but not least, we liked it so much and we ordered two months! “I ordered the Spicy Pu-Erh Beef Green Tea Noodle Soup and Jasmine Milk Green Tea. The beef noodle was delightful, the noodle was fresh, the soup was flavourful with perfectly balanced spice level. The beef was tender and outstanding, however I found it a bit too skinny, could be a little bit more fatty. The tea was fragrant and relaxing. Service was very polite and professional. The environment is very elegant with wooden design and beige seats. I would definitely recommend this place and would be coming back. Great for a place to work, hangout, or just a regular lunch/dinner.“

“Really enjoyed my meal at Xin Yi Time! It’s getting harder to find affordable meals these days, so I was surprised that most dishes here are under $13 while still giving such massive portions.

I tried the Taiwanese braised pork rice and it tasted very authentic — super flavorful, well marinated, and nice and saucy. Every combo also comes with rice and 2 veggies, which makes it feel like a complete home-style meal.

The shop itself is small and simple, run by a friendly Asian auntie, which gives it a cozy homemade vibe. Definitely more of a takeout spot, but great for a quick affordable comfort meal. Would come back again!“

“I was pleasantly surprised by this dessert. I ordered an ube option at the time and the flavours were great; it wasn’t sickeningly sweet. The price is great for the large portion and it tastes pretty fresh. Ample seating however, I felt like I was bothering the staff when I had originally asked about my dietary restrictions, so that was a downside. The textures are different than what I was used to, but a great choice to try something new!“
