“The food was 100% legit. The two ladies working today gave great service. They answered all my questions and made me feel right at home. The Adobo chicken and chicken liver were so good. I can't wait to go back and try some of the other dishes.“

“A unforgettable dining experience last 07/04/25 (Friday)! Shoutout to Chef/Owner Danny Cancino and his team for an impeccable service! 👏 Every dish and the complimentary additions were phenomenal! The modern twist in Filipino cuisine was definitely well done!💖🌟 Here are some of my standout favorites 🤯: • Pineapple + Kombu (Seaweed): Refreshing and light, with crispy seaweed balancing the sweet, citrusy pineapple 💛 • Duck Ensaymada w/ Duck Prosciutto and Truffle Butter: One of the fluffiest breads I’ve ever had, inspired by classic ensaymada. Spreading truffle butter on it was chef’s kiss—it melts in your mouth! 😭👌 • Scallop Inari Lumpia: Beautifully presented with fried sushi rice, ginger-chili dressed Argentinian shrimp, and seared scallop on top. The rice was fluffy and so tasty I could eat it endlessly! • Iberico Pork Collar: Juicy, saucy, and umami-packed tender pork with chicharon, lettuce leaves, and sesame aioli. The pickled papaya (atchara) was a nice touch—I don’t usually eat atchara, but I loved it with this! • Beef Short Rib Kare-Kare: The star of the show! 🌟👏 Rich, classic kare-kare flavors with blanched bok choy and eggplant. The thick, peanuty sauce was delightful—if only there was rice! 🤣😋 Hope as many people as possible get to try this ultimate gourmet experience, whether you’re visiting Toronto or a Canada local! 🌟 Thank you Mineral!☺️Until we visit again!“

“I've been a customer of this restaurant since they started their branch on Bathurst St. Over the years, I've watched the business grow, and I'm always impressed by their service, food, and ambiance. The friendly staff always put a smile on my face, from ordering to finishing my meal. The restaurant continues to evolve, introducing new menu ideas and popular Filipino desserts-to-go like Taho, Buko Pandan, and Fruit Salad. Kabalen is a true gem in North York, perfect for bringing visitors to satisfy their cravings - a home away from home. One drawback though, is the accessibility. The dining area is located upstairs and the washroom is downstairs in the basement. As a result, it is not advisable for wheelchair users to dine in. Nonetheless, the establishment maintains a clean environment and is conducive for group gatherings, or for individuals like myself, who just wants to unwind after a days work.“

“My family and I, went to Bangku for lunch as it is my Mom's birthday. I was born here in Canada but this place makes it feel like I was born in the Philippines. We ordered three different dishes and everything was cooked fresh and made to perfection. We received large portions which made our money's worth! Customer service here was top notch and everyone was so nice. My family and I will certainly be back at least once every week! Definitely a 10/10!“

“If you’re looking for some of the most authentic Filipino cuisine in the GTA, Kiko’s is a must-visit. This small, humble spot at Wilson and Bathurst serves food made with heart—you can see it in their presentation and taste it in the thoughtful, well-balanced flavors of every dish. Their cooking captures that perfect blend of “simple yet sophisticated,” delivering comforting classics with an elevated touch.
Portions are very generous, offering true “bang for your buck,” and the consistency of their food shows why they’ve been a staple in the area for so long. You might even wonder why they haven’t expanded, but it’s clear they value staying small to maintain the quality that sets them apart.“

“I only tried the halo-halo from here but it was pretty decent. It’s a crushed ice dessert with a bunch of ingredients in it. I enjoyed the ube flavour, it seems like they put ube flavored ice cream in it (1 scoop on top and around the sides). I was also surprised to find corn and beans in a dessert as well but it surprisingly worked. I might come back here sometime to try the food, the place was pretty full when I stopped by and they had a lot of people ordering spreads.“

“I celebrated my nomination last night in this excellent restaurant. happy to tell that it was a sensational evening and the place was clearly one of the reasons for this strong gathering. The waiters cooperated in a gorgeous way, the food was appetizing and my friends were extremely overjoyed. We shall absolutely visit again for more joyful events. thanks very much.“
“I’ve been waiting for good elevated Filipino cuisine and it’s finally here! Traditional ingredients and flavours mixed in with modern twists. All the plates were surprising yet nostalgic at the same time. Dishes were served by the chef himself too. My only critique was the crispy pata skin was a tad tough but this is an easy fix. As a Filipino I’m glad to see our cuisine highlighted in fine dining. Can’t wait to see more from Kusinero.“

“Popped in here randomly for a quick dinner. I'm so glad that I did. It's a small family owned restaurant with a cozy vibe and a dining area. It's Filipino fast food.I tried their lomi soup and it was freaking delicious. Easily made my top list of soups. It had lots fried meat toppings, fish balls and thick noodles. The soup was thick, eggy and extremely tasty. For $10, the portion was generous.I will be back!“

“We hired Perlas de Pilipinas Catering for my daughter’s first birthday, and they absolutely exceeded all our expectations! From the very beginning, their team was professional, accommodating, and so easy to work with. The food was nothing short of amazing—every dish was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. I received so many compliments from our guests saying how delicious the food was, with many asking who the caterer was so they could book them too! You could really taste the love and authenticity in every bite. Thank you, Perlas de Pilipinas, for making our celebration even more special. You helped create such a memorable experience for us and our guests. I will definitely be booking you again for future events. Highly, highly recommended!“

“This by far is our favourite bakery for their pandesal, ensaymada and pandecoco. They also have monay, bread pudding, macarons, ube and mocha cake slices, also kakanins like puto, kutsinta, biko, sapin-sapin and buko pies. In the summer… their halo-halo is to die for. Order it with ice cream on top and you would be gushing after ‘cause it’s out of this world! Go and check Baker’s Best, and you’ll be back over and over again!“

“I've been getting food here for the last 30+ years of my life. What I love as an adult are their convenience packs of pancit, longanisa, adobo, beef steak, chicken skewers, kaldereta, and other dishes my wife loves. Just warm it up and serve over rice!
I rarely give 5 stars, and one of the reasons I give Marcys 5 stars is the wonderful hot table! Great selection all around, and I'd suggest the pork or chicken skewers. Tita Marcy, her husband, and the staff have always treated us well. They are awesome people! I would definitely recommend this place!“
