Tried the peameal bacon sandwich. It was ok, better with honey mustard on it.
Outstanding Snickers like chocolate peanut butter tart in St. Lawrence Market.

It’s pretty special visiting a spot I’ve been coming to since I was a kid, especially knowing the legacy that the original owners, Robert Biancolin and Maurice Biancolin, built here. ❤
The peameal bacon sandwich was great, the price was good, the service was friendly, and most importantly, that Carousel legacy continues!

Carousel Bakery is a tradition and institution in the Toronto scene inside the St. Lawrence Market. The best peameal bacon sandwich is served straight off the grill, with a bun that is a great size. Customers love a fresh pea meal sandwich and can put their own honey mustard on it. The peameal bacon is juicy and well-cooked, like nothing some have ever tasted. The bakery also offers uniquely tempting sweet stuff, breads, and rolls. Service is super quick, immediate, and fast even on busy Saturdays, with staff members who are super friendly, very social, and happy to serve with smiles. The place is consistently good. Some find the sandwiches pre-made with a bland bun, and the honey mustard can have little flavour. The coffee has been described as very watery with no flavour. Despite this, it is a highly recommended spot, and for many, it is the first stop when back in Toronto.
