The restaurant was well maintained (that used to be a given at restaurants, much less so these days), clean, and had a very family friendly vibe.

I noticed someone mentioned that the kitfo had tomato sauce in it, which surprised me. In my experience at Mesobs Restaurant there was no tomato sauce added at all—just the classic ingredients you’d expect in a well-made kitfo. Perhaps there was a misunderstanding or a one-time variation, but my meal was genuinely satisfying and true to Ethiopian culinary tradition.“

“My friends and I were wandering around the streets of Ossington, looking for somewhere to have lunch on a Sunday afternoon. We stepped inside here on a whim, and I am delighted to report that we have now found a wonderful staple in our restaurant endeavours!

We tried a mixed meat/vegan platter, and it was scrumptious. I also had a coffee, which was great.

I can't speak much on the atmosphere, as we were the only ones in the space at the time, but there is a nice wooden bar with big TVs if you're into that kind of thing. Maybe to watch the World Cup or something. I was distracted a bit by the big TVs while engaging in conversation with my friends, but I think that's unique to me. I get distracted easily. But the wonderful flavours of Ethiopian cuisine captured my attention right away!“

“Best Ethiopian in the city. The owner is incredibly friendly and more than happy to share his knowledge of the country and its cuisine.

If you’re unsure what to get or this is your first time, order the No.9 plate from the veg menu and then add a single meat dish from the regular menu. It’s more than enough for 2 people. The coffee is also excellent just remember to order it at the start so it has time to prepare.“

The food was absolutely delicious.Everyone who was working there was extremely kind and welcoming to my friend and myself. We each tried a bit of everything on the menu, and we had no complaints at all. We were amazed at how good it was. The chef even came out to say hi to us as we were leaving, which we found to be very nice! We were also shocked at the low prices for such high-quality fresh and home-cooked food. “Just right and amazing . The vibe here is great. The place is not too extravagant nor subpar to the bar standards. Above all else, the price is reasonable. Ask for Sam Kate, she is just a great attender and employee. This lounge has a band playing on certain days and times. In addition, the establishment offers good deals on food and nourishment from their kitchen before 11pm . Try it out. Enjoy your time and leave happy.“

“Nice spot on the Danforth if you want a light lunch. There’s a small patio. Cafeteria style. We ordered a BLT and a grilled sandwich - black forest ham and Swiss cheese. They were both tasty but a little on the expensive side for simple sandwiches. The food was good so we’ll visit again and definitely recommend to others.“
