This is a very comfortable and friendly neighbourhood restaurant that's worth travelling to visit as well. Warm and cosy in the winter with a nice patio and open feeling in the spring and summer.. the food feels like homemade Italian and the service is friendly without being overbearing. The kind of place you wanna go back to every now and then.

Great experience - the noise level was exceptionally loud due to a children's birthday party. There didn't appear to be any adults with the children (other than the servers).

One of the best local Wood Fire Pizza and Locally Made Pasta Restaurants! A friendly, welcoming restaurant that is always very reliable and on point with all their flavours and quality of what they serve.A very relaxed atmosphere with amazing friendly servers. Your first bread basket is complimentary and it’s delicious. You are also given some extra parm and chillies to go with your main course.Would highly recommend you try their food, you won’t be disappointed!

Great little gem near Cabbage Town. Very friendly service and well above average authentic home made pasta and primi. Tiramisu was also one of the best we have had in North America. Calamari was also impressive and Seafood Linguine top notch. Didn't have the pizza but it looked like a top seller.

I was on vacation with my boyfriend and this place was highly recommended on reddit. The mussels were exceptional! If they have them get them! Perfect ending to an amazing trip to Toronto!

Service was great; friendly, attentive, timely. Food was delicious, cooked perfectly. Drinks were tasty. Ambiance was good (lights could have been dimmed a little more) but sound was okay and even with a full restaurant, we could enjoy the conversation at our table. Overalll a wonderful evening out with friends. We'll be back again soon. Four-and-a-half stars out of five.

I had a dinner reservation on Valentine's Day and enjoyed the experience overall but I would not go back. It was extremely overpriced. Our server Graham was great, very attentive and polite. My disappointment is regarding the cost and variety. It was a set menu ($110pp) on the night with limited options. Since I was going to an Italian restaurant, I was looking forward to a pasta dish but there was no pasta option on the menu. I enjoyed the meal - salmon, steak and a pie for dessert - but I wouldn't be rushing back to the restaurant to have it again nor would I recommend my friends to go there. The house red was $75, which is more expensive than any other "house" option I've had before. They advertised 50% off bottles over $100, but I'm pretty sure the cheapest bottle over $100 was approx $140, so even with the 50% discount, you're still paying about $70, which feels shady. They auto-applied a gratuity of 22% to our bill ($71.94) which is ridiculous for 2 people. Tips should never be decided for and impinged upon the guests, especially when there are only two people.

Fantastic service from everyone at the restaurant! Had an allergy that they took very seriously and accommodated us going above and beyond. Food was fresh and delicious, especially gnocchi and the wood oven pizza! Vegan options for those who are vegan or have issues with dairy! 10/10 all across the board for service and food, highly recommend!

My partner and I dined for Valentine's Day dinner. We have been to Famelia several times, have a few favourites on the menu we were looking forward to ordering. I booked on open table and there was no mention of a set menu when I had booked. The restaurant called me a few days in advance to confirm we were coming, but did not mention there would be a set menu. We sat for dinner and noticed a set menu on the table. Upon noticing this, we asked the man who brought us to our table if the regular menu was available and he said no. I then asked how much the set menu was and he responded "I don't know, sorry" and he did not proceed to check. Anyways my partner and I went with it even though we don't love set menus (cause we usually don't have dessert and my partner is vegetarian and he doesn't like to have a single option to choose from). We thought the food served was OK, I enjoyed my seafood boullabaiss but my partner did not enjoy his lasagne much. Aside from this we were quite disappointed with our server. Her responses felt sharp and we did not feel the hospitality and comfort we've received here upon our other experiences. Further, as I did not want my dessert my partner ordered a tiramisu and then a lemon tart for himself to try. At the end she brought out the lemon tart on its own. He tried half but was not a fan and asked the server if he could have the other dessert we ordered. She then proceeded to bring us the bill and machine after which we were confused. Politely, my partner asked if he could still have the other dessert he ordered. She rudely said "oh you want the other dessert" and snatched the bill and proceeded to tear it up. She then brought him the chocolate mousse (instead of the tiramisu). After all this, we were shell shocked to see a $300 bill, from the $110 per person set menu we couldn't be told the price of, alongside HST and an automatic 22% gratuity on top. No alcohol/drinks.. very disappointed with this experience overall.

We have going here since the first week it opened and it is our go to favourite restaurant. The ambience is warm and the staff are amazing. Special call out to our server Nicky last night who was great as always and also to Graham who served our wine. We shared a diavola pizza and a very generous bowl of marinated warm olives to start. Partner had tagliatelle bolognese and I had a terrific lamb loin with fingerling potatoes and spinach. Divine. All helped with a well priced and smooth Valpolicella. Special thanks to Tanya and her team for yet another amazing evening.

Inside the restaurant looks like what I think a comfortable, beautiful village restaurant would like like in southern Italy (I've never been there so I don't know). I was first hit by the delectable smell, and as the evening progressed and more meals were prepared, the aroma got even better. My meal was delicious, and everyone in my group loved theirs as well. Lots of choice on the menu. The specialty drink with pineapple, prosecco and other delightful things was amazing. Although the restaurant had many people, it never seemed crowded or loud. I will definitely go back when I am in the area. I highly recommend.
