“perfect place to bring your friends from outside of the city if you want to show off Toronto and go to a more local "nice spot" instead of defaulting to King West or something. our server was extremely sweet and accommodating, food came quickly and tasted great, and the overall atmosphere was super cozy and lively.“

“Excellent service. Love the vibe tho I was quite chilly. Food was fantastic. I had the handroll which was a bit hard to eat served in a can. The Salmon Aburi which was delicious. And the oysters which were exceptional.

I had two cocktails. Something with Tori whiskey which was excellent and something with tequila which was a lovely way to start my experience. The sake was also very tasty.

Would definitely come back.“

“This place has become my favourite Izakaya in Toronto! The food reminds me of the food I had in Japan, and the omurice is the best omurice I’ve ever had in Toronto!! Our server, Bomyi, was so attentive and friendly and made the experience so comforting and pleasant!!! She really stood out to me. “We came to this restaurant on a Saturday night as a larger group and came away very satisfied. The food was well prepared and delicious. There was enough variety that everyone ordered something different. One surprise was that there weren't more ramen noodle soup options. As the night was busy, it seemed there might have been a shortage of wait staff. But when they came, they were cordial and attentive. The only thing was the background music was a bit loud making it hard to talk. Otherwise, we recommend this place to others.“

MUST TRY: the monkfish liver, any of their udon dishes and the old Korean-style Whole Fried Chicken.

Parking is a bit tricky. We parked at the back as some businesses were closed during the weekends so we parked there, but I would be careful during working business hours.“

“What a vibe. I ordered on Uber Eats more than a couple times before actually coming here to eat. They deserve more stars, there skewers and mackerel are so gas, and honestly it’s such a vibe, their decorations are so cute and makes me feel like i’m in Japan. They’re also all Japanese people and super nice, 100% deserve 5 stars and more.“

“Been coming here for years. Still enjoy visiting every once in a while. Japa burger sliders are my wife’s favourite. They are a little on the sweet side though. Everything here always tastes good. The food tastes even better when paired beer or cocktails, which they have plenty of. Service here is usually prompt. Thank you“
