Good old-school bakery & hot table lunch
What can I say about a business that's been around since the 50s run by a sweet lady who's 82 named Lucy? Everything here is fantastic. This is one of those old bakeries that you want to go to that are not going to be around in 10 years. Highly recommended.

North Pole Bakery (Lucy) is a classic old school bakery and mini grocery on Danforth and Greenwood. Specializing in Italian baked goods, the standouts include the cannoli (piped fully, with a thin crisp shell and smooth creamy filling, dusted with icing sugar) and rum ball (dense and chocolatey). The arancini and cannolis are absolutely delicious. Pizza and chicken cutlets are favourites. The coffee is perfect, the best coffee ever, and the tart was delicious. The food is good quality. The owner, Lucy, is kind and wonderful to speak with. This place is an institution in the neighbourhood.
