9 Best Taco Restaurants in Toronto

“We visited seven lives tacos for the first time this weekend in Kensington. The lineup was huge, and they only have standing areas—probably to keep turnover high—so there’s no chance to sit and eat inside,just stand and go.

The tacos themselves are really delicious, but the way the sauces were listed was confusing. We couldn’t tell which ones were hot, and ended up with a super spicy sauce that overwhelmed our tacos. Clearer labeling would really help.

One downside is that they don’t serve beer or margaritas—just soft drinks like Coke and Fanta. I think tacos pair better with a beer or cocktail.

Overall, tasty tacos, but a few improvements could make the experience much better.“

“Can't recommend this place enough. Mexican food as it should be — house-made tortillas, great sauces, the largest dollop of guac you'll see anywhere near downtown. We had carnitas bowls, a ton of food for a reasonable price!

Shoutout to Eber, who's from Tabasco, Mexico, that was working the counter. This place is a must-try in the neighbourhood! Que viva Mexico...“

“Got the Ube Chimney which is like a hollowed out churro with ice cream inside. It’s quite sweet and is rather unique but nothing that really blew me away.

Give it a try if you’re in the area. The truck also serves savoury foods and I am curious if those are any good. Will try next time.

It’s a food truck so don’t expect much in terms of atmosphere.

“Very small stand inside the Latino food court, but the food here is amazing and the employees are so nice. The tacos with cheese taste so good and the chilaquiles are amazing. We got the chilaquiles with chicken and another order with plantain and both were an explosion of flavour. Cannot reccomend this place enough.“
