“We love this place and have spent a lifetime coming back to this piece of living history. The Port Colborne Dairy Queen is a true blast from the past. Opened in 1954, it remains the oldest location in Canada still standing in its original building and signage style.
What makes this spot even more special is that, being one of the first Dairy Queens, it operates under a different agreement than most modern locations. That means they don’t serve hot food — only cold treats like cones, sundaes, and Blizzards. And honestly, that’s exactly what makes it so good. They stick to what they do best.
I also appreciate that the portion sizes here are still generous and true to size, unlike at some other locations I’ve been to. It feels authentic, nostalgic, and just plain right. This isn’t just dessert — it’s a sweet trip back in time.“

“I asked for an Oreo cake with dark grey and light grey contrast and it turned out great. My son actually loved it. They did an amazing job and the customer service was great as well. She was just as excited about my idea as I was. Thank you again!“

“It’s just amazing everything is well cleaned and good environment nice i like to visit again at this store. I’ve been to Dairy Queen many times, and honestly, it’s one of those places that never really gets old. For me, DQ is less about being a regular restaurant and more about being a comfort spot. Whenever I go there, it feels a bit nostalgic—like something special even though it’s just fast food and ice cream.
The best part, of course, is the ice cream. Their Blizzards are legendary, and every time I get one, it feels like a treat. I like how thick they are and how they flip the cup upside down—it’s kind of cheesy, but also fun. My go-to is usually Oreo, but I’ve tried other flavors like Reese’s and KitKat, and they’re always good. The dipped cones are another favorite of mine, especially the classic chocolate dip.“

“The only food we bought was an ice cream cake. I was too late in the day to get anything written on the birthday cake. I was told I was too late. I did not press the gentleman. He took pity on me anyway and wrote the names of those having a birthday celebration later in the day.
I don't know his name, but he was wearing a turban (I think that's the word for it.)
Thank you for your kindness and grace.
The cake was good and enjoyed by all.“
