“We visited Desi Bar & Grill yesterday on 14 Dec 2024. The experience was worth mentioning as the Desi Bar & Grill's Interior was quite impressive, with the relaxed feeling of an entertaining restaurant with the food, bar service, and server courtesy. It deserves a stars (*****) rating except for one suggestion. It is nice to hear the ever-green Indian Songs except for the loudness associated with the noise this created necessitating keeping it low will be dignified and relaxing for distinguished visitors to engage in audible mutual conversation rather than put restraint and blockage by loud music. Running of soft Indian 'Gazals' will add to the environment apart from Punjabi/Hindi songs.“

“Appasamy's Biryanis are our family's go to in all of Ontario! Not only is the Paneer Tikka Biryani and the Gongura Mutton Biryani so delicious, but the service is so super kind and thoughtful! The last time we picked up dinner, we forgot to take our plain basmati rice - and today when we showed to make our order, the owner remembered that we didn't take it! I always need a plain rice to help me with the spice level (note - I don't manage mild spiciness well) and he gave us the one that we forgot the last time! So super thoughtful! The Biryanis are full of flavour and so very delicious! Their presentation, even when we take it to go, is beautiful👍😃“

They have an everything bagel cream cheese stuffed naan that was so fresh and flavourful! Samosa Chaat was perfect. Drinks were awesome. Service was awesome. Amazing view of the city streets.“

When we called our waiter to address it, he confirmed the mistake but didn't offer to replace the dish on the house, which felt like poor service. Instead, we were asked if we wanted to reorder the correct dish, which seemed inconsiderate. Additionally, the dishes lacked enough paneer or chicken, with too much sauce instead. The restaurant wasn't very busy, but it was still hard to get the waitstaff's attention as they seemed preoccupied at the counter. On the positive side, we appreciated not being rushed and were able to enjoy our meal from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. Despite the hiccups, the food was top-notch.“

Over the years, my wife and I have explored numerous Indian restaurants across the Greater Toronto Area with friends, family, and other couples. Some were memorable, others less so. Then, by sheer luck, we stumbled upon Bombay Grill on Hwy 7 in Markham. Since that discovery, our search for the best Indian cuisine came to a delightful end.

Every dish we’ve savored at Bombay Grill has been authentically delicious, consistently outshining all other Indian restaurants we've tried. For the past two years, it has been our go-to spot for Indian cuisine.

The service is impeccable, thanks to Dita or AJ, who are part of the family that owns this charming establishment. Their warmth and hospitality make every visit special. The prices are very reasonable, adding to the overall appeal.

The interior of Bombay Grill is simple and unassuming, reminiscent of a cozy neighborhood eatery. While the dining area might not attract many patrons to sit and dine, there is a constant stream of customers picking up large takeout orders. This steady flow of takeout traffic suggests that people love the food and the prices, even if they might prefer enjoying it at home rather than within the restaurant’s modest ambiance.

“Food is always awesome at India Sweets. It is fresh & has a perfect balance of all required taste & spices. Their desserts & sweets are delicious as well. Good size portions too.“

They would adjust the spice level according to your taste. You can also find no garlic and no onion options on certain foods.“

“Got some Doubles and a Chicken Roti. Very friendly service, and a tasty meal. They're using a turmeric based gravy for the curry and not the Red Tin darker curry mix. The curry gravy is also a bit on the oily side; its something you'll notice. The roti size is a bit smaller than other places, but they do put a good amount of chicken, and its soft, and the roti is not dry. The Doubles were good, but they dont have any chutney inside, like some other places do. Also of note is that there is no seating area. But overall, I'd return here“

The recent renovation has really elevated the dining experience. The space is now bright, modern, and much more spacious, making it perfect for a relaxed meal with family or friends. On top of that, the staff are friendly, attentive, and genuinely care about making sure you have a great time.

“We had the absolute pleasure of having Adrak Richmond Hill cater our wedding in August 2022, and we simply can't praise them enough, especially our liaison, Zara. From the get-go, Zara was a beacon of professionalism and support. Despite the numerous revisions, customizations, and extensive back and forth communication, Zara remained courteous, patient, and incredibly flexible, making the entire process smooth and stress-free. On the day of the event, the food was delivered right on time, and Zara even made a special visit to the venue to ensure that everything went off without a hitch. Her dedication to overseeing the logistics was truly above and beyond. Zara had earlier organized a tasting menu for us, which was a delightful experience and she coordinated the delivery of items with impeccable attention to detail. Speaking of the food, it was nothing short of incredible! Our guests couldn't stop raving about the flavors and the quality. The quantity was generous enough to feed a village, and everyone left with satisfied palates and happy hearts. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Zara and the entire Team Adrak for their outstanding performance and support on our special day. For $34ish we ordered two kathi rolls, one chilli chicken which was quite yummy and one chicken tikka which was off-tasting. It didn't feel like a real tikka, maybe its just tikka seasoning they use. Tikka one also had a weird aftertaste so do not recommend. Fries were AMAZING, both rolls came with masala fries. Rolls on instagram look much bigger than in reality. Wait time was 25 minutes and the store was not busy.
The place is shared with Holy Shakes and also carries The Cheesecake Factory cakes. Milkshakes were tempting so will come back to try those.“

“I'm in Oshawa but any time theres a party, doesnt matter where, Ill make sure I pick up a tray of their pasta or get someone else to pick it up (if Im hosting). Have been doing this for the past 3 years at least. There pasta is phenomenol. Not the ketchup pasta (sweet and mild) that you get from all restaurants (be it italian or not; its like all they do is open that can of tomato sauce and plop it on their pasta). Applespice's pasta has real flavor and a wonderful kick depending on the spice level you ask for. Always tell them how many people you're serving, their recommendations never go wrong. I can spend $50 here and serve about 8-10 people so portion sizes are really good for the price as well.“

The service has definitely improved over the last year. We tend to always get a veg thali due to the options for sides. “Appa's Original Sri Lankan Lamprais is Tasty, Original and Always Freshly prepared when ordered. I have tasted their food over the past several months and the Quality has not gone down. Worth the drive from Toronto or the GTA. The portion is easily enough for 2 adults.“
