“My wife, myself and my father-in-law came in for breakfast today. I had never been to this diner before but I had heard that it was good, especially for the price, and that was definitely the case! I got steak and eggs and they got breakfast specials. There is nothing on this breakfast menu more than $14. Mostly 8 - 12 $ We ordered right away and we got our food in less than 20 minutes. The dining room is simple, but very clean and the tables aren't so close together that you feel cramped. This place was really busy when we went. We were very glad to try this local gem. If you're looking for a good place to have cheap breakfast in these trying economic times, this is the place.I will return.Parking: This diner is located in a mini mall. There is not a lot of parking so if you're coming with a large group I recommend carpooling.“
“This is for the Hi-Ho on Howard.Excellent food and pricing is good. The service is very quick and they are very polite.Menu is quite extensive and both the Broasted Chicken and my favourite Grumpy Burger are on the menu. You will not be disappointed!Only one observation that we were surprised about and that was the Clientele. We seemed to be overdressed as most others were elderly and wearing tattered clothing.“
“I adore coming here since moving nearby! Always wanted to try it and I’m happy I did. Staff are incredible and 10 friends is so important for the community! We need more of this in Windsor. Love bringing my family here for breakfast whenever we can.“
“Our first visit we were looking for a late breakfast. Walking past other tables we noted the delicious looking broasted chicken and changed our minds. The dishes arrived hot and crispy. I couldn't "bare" to add ketchup to the fries, they were that good. Service was great, portions generous. Noticed the fish on the way out....next time for sure.“
“I got the make your own omelet (bacon, sausage, onion, and peppers), home fries with cheese and grilled onion, rye toast, and extra bacon on the side. The food was absolutely delicious. Staff was very friendly.*Do not go by their current menu online. The items and prices are significantly different.*My 4 stars instead of 5 is in reflection of how expensive they were. What I ordered wound up being $25, compared to what I expected from their website of a total of $15.“
“My friends and I showed up for breakfast on Saturday morning. The staff was very accommodating for our party of five. The food was very tasty and plentiful and the coffee kept coming, just what I needed. They had very good turkey sausage. I recommend parking across the street in the multi-story “
“Campus Bistro is easily the best option for breakfast in Midtown. Like it isn't close. Every other spot (except for possibly Olympic Cafe) is completely overpriced or doesn't offer a breakfast option. The draw of Campus Bistro is that it's a great value, especially if you're a Wayne State Student. Besides a couple of spots in Mexicantown, you will not find a more affordable breakfast than this. Also, your portions are huge, so a meal here can take you through to dinner. I had the steak and eggs and would guess that the steak I was given was all of10 oz.The service is awesome, and each time I've gone the waiter has been incredibly attentive. I used to go here when I was in Law School, and now that it's under new management, I think it's a much better restaurant. Highly, highly recommended“
“In town for a personal trip to see the Metallica concerts. So, there are thousands of people in downtown Detroit, many of whom were looking for a place to eat on a Saturday morning. The wait was long for Cadillac Square and they had one waitress who also acted as the host and cashier. She was moving as fast as anyone can and even with that, was not short with the customers. It took a while to get us seated and another bit longer to get our breakfast after we ordered but everything was very good. The coffee is really good and our breakfasts were cooked great and tasted even better. A great stop for anyone looking for a great diner meal!!“
“When I say this place is worth the money, this place is it. I give it a 10+. A little pricey but you have to pay for great food right? And they are BLACK owned❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️“
“We're semi-regulars here, as there's limited local options. We always have good service from wait staff. The food is usually 'good', not great. Excellent coffee-not motor-oil dark like most diners. I personally love the encrusted French toast. The cost of the food is high, but not outrageous. The restrooms need some attention. Lastly, like many local diners are starting to do--expect to get the gouge for using your credit card to pay. Which for @ 80% of Americans, that's how we conduct sales transactions anymore. Annoying beyond description, dare I state the obvious?: the credit card processing cost is ALREADY built into the pricing structure for the food here. Hence the prices. Gouging the customers who use a credit card to pay for their meal with an additional 3-4% is outlandish. Why doesn't the owner offer a 'cash discount' of 3-4%, and forego the credit card fee instead? Overall, I recommend going here. I like it, but I don't love it. The personal service of several of the long-term waitresses alone is worth the visit.“
“Soul food the movie was running on a TV. The hostess Crystal was pleasant and the cook Flo made me a tasty Western Omelette. Coffee was fresh. Good place to grab a quick bite if you have to wait near the Patrick McNamara federal building and you are feeling hungry.“
“It's a cute small family diner. So the best thing about this place us the staff. Everyone was nice and polite and very attentive. The atmosphere is giving cute family diner, which I love not commercial...very home. The food was great value, large serving and I enjoyed it. Not a fan of their home fries but my friend loved it“
