Caldense Bakery is a small, cozy place with a very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. It is considered one of the best places for bread in Toronto, offering a nice variety of bread, cakes, and delicious pastries like Portuguese custard tarts. The food, including the egg sandwich, Mini Toast sandwich, and sweet bread, is delicious and reasonably priced. The coffee and cappuccino are also delicious and fresh. It is a great spot for breakfast, with a patio in warm weather, though it can get very busy. Many find it a much better choice than the nearby alternative.
