“I've been a customer of this restaurant since they started their branch on Bathurst St. Over the years, I've watched the business grow, and I'm always impressed by their service, food, and ambiance. The friendly staff always put a smile on my face, from ordering to finishing my meal. The restaurant continues to evolve, introducing new menu ideas and popular Filipino desserts-to-go like Taho, Buko Pandan, and Fruit Salad. Kabalen is a true gem in North York, perfect for bringing visitors to satisfy their cravings - a home away from home. One drawback though, is the accessibility. The dining area is located upstairs and the washroom is downstairs in the basement. As a result, it is not advisable for wheelchair users to dine in. Nonetheless, the establishment maintains a clean environment and is conducive for group gatherings, or for individuals like myself, who just wants to unwind after a days work.“

“My family and I, went to Bangku for lunch as it is my Mom's birthday. I was born here in Canada but this place makes it feel like I was born in the Philippines. We ordered three different dishes and everything was cooked fresh and made to perfection. We received large portions which made our money's worth! Customer service here was top notch and everyone was so nice. My family and I will certainly be back at least once every week! Definitely a 10/10!“

“I ordered here for our work potluck at 911 Emergency Services for peel and halton region, everyone loved their food. Delicious taste that reminds me of back home in the Philippines. If you want delicious authentic extremely affordable food with huge servings, come to Batibot. Their pork adobo, lumpia and leche flan are my favourites!!! First responders raved about their lumpia also. Leche flan is super creamy, tastes like crème brule. So yummy! 😋 ❤️❤️❤️❤️“

“Catering order was delicious for a large birthday party. Everyone loved the authentic, tasty and good quality food. They especially were fans of the BBQ chicken and garlic fried rice. “This place is an absolute gem 🩷 The staff is very warm, friendly, and their service is amazing. They have a lot of food varieties from street food to actual Filipino dishes, the atmosphere is super cozy, chill, and the environment is clean. They have lots of seating both indoors and outdoors as well. The wait wasn’t long, and my food arrived quickly and was prepared well. I ordered the lumpia on the side, and ordered the tapsilog dish. 10/10! Soooo good. They also gave us complimentary soup broth that tasted really good too! I highly recommend this place, and it definitely lives up to the hype!“

All the plates were surprising yet nostalgic at the same time. Dishes were served by the chef himself too. My only critique was the crispy pata skin was a tad tough but this is an easy fix. “Popped in here randomly for a quick dinner. I'm so glad that I did. It's a small family owned restaurant with a cozy vibe and a dining area. It's Filipino fast food.I tried their lomi soup and it was freaking delicious. Easily made my top list of soups. It had lots fried meat toppings, fish balls and thick noodles. The soup was thick, eggy and extremely tasty. For $10, the portion was generous.I will be back!“

“I've been getting food here for the last 30+ years of my life. What I love as an adult are their convenience packs of pancit, longanisa, adobo, beef steak, chicken skewers, kaldereta, and other dishes my wife loves. Just warm it up and serve over rice!

I rarely give 5 stars, and one of the reasons I give Marcys 5 stars is the wonderful hot table! Great selection all around, and I'd suggest the pork or chicken skewers. Tita Marcy, her husband, and the staff have always treated us well. They are awesome people! I would definitely recommend this place!“
