“Was on a quick lunch break and craving soup. First time stopping in and got the Sopa de Frijoles to go. The guy behind the counter asked if I wanted to add anything spicy, and was delighted when he threw in a cup of chilero. Warming, tasty and just what I needed to get through the rest of the day. Will be back to try more!“

“This is the best hawaiian food I have encountered since leaving Hawaii in the 80' s. Workers friendliness and service are very good. Serving size is over the top, just like plate lunches in the islands ; I can't even finish the whole thing ! Authentic flavor is SO ono !“

“We come to Astoria once or twice a year. I’ve eyeballed this place because my grandparents were from Cornwall. Grandma used to make pasties and I haven’t had a good one for around 55 years. Including mine. But their Ogie… just as I remember grandma Treloar making! Must be the rutabagas! lol! I will be coming here again! Loved the food and talking to the owner.“

“So happy I found this place. Super nice folks that run this business. Food is SO homemade. What I appreciate is the food is served to you fresh and hot. Prices are also very reasonable. This is absolutely the place you want to support. Delicious! You can tell the food is cooked with lots of love. I can't wait to have the sopes next. ....And I want the taquitos and I want the torta.....“

“I am not exaggerating when I say, I think this food truck should have 1 Michelin star.
We ordered the Pad See Ew, pan fried rockfish special for $22 plus $2 for the peanut sauce and the crab wonton appetizer for $50.
Our spiciness level was medium and even though it ended up a bit too.apicy for me, I couldn't stop eating. The sweetness of the two dishes kept me going. The rockfish curry had generous slices of onion and asparagus. The brown rice was the perfect texture. The pad see ew was one of the best I've tasted, great texture, sweet, salty and spicy perfectly balanced. Wow! The person who took our order was wearing a veterans cap and really sweet and nice. I'm coming again!“

“I was born and raised in Honolulu, and Local Boy Grindz serves up the best kalbi and huli-huli chicken I've had in the Northwest. The BBQ/teri sauce is incredible. I will definitely be back!!“

“just nowNEW I own a food trailer in Washington state. I am proud of the food we make but sometimes you fall upon excellence and that it what this place is. EXCELLENT!!! This young owner was born to do this. Don't pass it up if you are anywhere near Surf 2 Soul“
