“This is an absolute gem. Family run with the loveliest, friendly, engaging people. The food is unbelievable. I cannot imagine there is a better Mediterranean restaurant in Portland-which is saying a lot here. Oh and 100% have the cheesecake! Legitimately the best cheesecake on the planet-order the Royal.

“White Pepper was fantastic!! They were so wonderful and helpful in rescheduling our wedding twice for covid. They were always available to help with questions throughout the planning process. On the wedding day, the service staff was incredible. And the FOOD! Hands down the best wedding food my husband and I have ever had. All of the guests said the same. Somehow they were able to mix a farm to table fresh menu with such decadence still. I would recommend them a million times!“

Through some kitchen sorcery, she infuses conventional cultural flavors with new life, and brings them to healthy dishes that won't make you feel over-full or bloated. Each ingredient is clearly chosen with thoughtfulness, and every forkful of a little concert for your palate!“
“My wife and I have been members for a couple of months and are very happy with the meals sent by Chris and his team. The focus seems to be on lean proteins (some vegetarian options). Some meals are gluten and dairy free, but all of the meals seem to be reduced gluten (if any) and less dairy. The meals are well balanced and really filling. The weekly menus are varied, although it is always great to see some of our favorites pop back up from time to time. They are very nicely seasoned and everything tastes fresh. We've found the food tastes great and we really appreciate that it is portion controlled. Orders are due by Wednesday at midnight for delivery the following Sunday and Wednesday. The ordering system on the website lets you know which meals are scheduled to arrive on which day. The split delivery is great from a freshness perspective (we had a few of the Sunbasket pre-cooked meals that ended up going bad w/in a day or two of receipt). The meals are labeled w/ the macro information (grams of protein, carbs, and fat) as well as calories (which is great to see!). Be sure to remove the lid and any sauce containers inside before microwaving (lesson learned the hard way....) Meals arrive fresh, not frozen, in an insulated bag w/ a freezer pack included. The bag and freezer pack get returned to them with the next shipment. We are also really happy with the extreme reduction in waste compared to our orders from Sunbasket. Chris is incredibly responsive to questions and feedback, so I suggest reaching out to him with any specific questions. We were a little concerned about having to order 10 meals to try out the food, but my wife and I are both very glad we did!“

I have a ton of food sensitivities and feeding myself can be very overwhelming. Johanna not only offered me a bunch of pracical tips, tricks and recipes, but she also inspired me back into a loving, joyful relationship with my how I feed and nourish my body.“

“We booked John and his team at Premiere for our wedding with just over 200 guests and highly recommend them! John is professional, and was quick to reply to emails. He was also very accommodating when I needed to make last minute changes like adjusting the guest count two weeks before the wedding. The food was amazing and high quality- everyone loved it, from the toddlers to adults! They included linens and complimentary beverages, and all the staff were wonderful taking care of our guests. We did a buffet style service and got everyone through pretty fast! It was very reasonably priced and we were so glad we chose them to cater our wedding.“

However, what really stood out was the Chef and staff's absolute enthusiasm for the theme, and their passionate expression of their talents through the meals. Our wedding was Medieval-Fantasy/Lord of The Rings themed, and the chefs went out of their way to research real authentic medieval cuisine with an inspired twist, which really made the event truly magical. I would also like to thank Tracy for her amazing customer service and eagerness to bring the magic to life.“

“Ordered a bean rice and cheese burrito. It was mostly rice but the rice was DELICIOUS! The burrito was hot af when it came out but somehow when I finally made it down to the cheese it wasn’t melted. That’s the only reason I’m not giving this burrito a 5 star.“

“The best part of wedding planning was working with DFC. They were so professional, efficient, easy to work with, they communicated well, and they make GREAT good and drink. Our tasting meetings were fun. We had no worries going into our event, especially with Dan being our catering rep - he was indespensible. Our wedding day went smoothly and the staff provided spectacular service. The buffet looked lovely, food tasted great, and the Cuban Missile punch lasted only an hour before it was gone. From the first interaction with them you could tell customer service and getting things perfect for their client was a priority. I emailed back and forth several times with Holly and she was great to communicate with! On the day of the wedding, Elephants crew showed up early, was super professional, and did such a great job. The staff was super friendly and willing to jump in and help with whatever was necessary to make the day perfect for the bride and groom. They also did an amazing job cleaning our kitchen and leaving things how they were when they arrived. I would highly recommend them to anyone searching for caterers!“

“What a great find! This is my new neighborhood bar. Small and super cute with local artists displayed on the walls. Signature cocktails were in inventive and fresh. I tried the porch swing which was a slightly spicy, aromatic version of an old fashioned. Top quality brandied cherry garnish made it superb. The cherry on top of my whole experience was the friendly bartender "Crimson". What an amazing find for this bar! I can't wait to come back.“

I can't rave enough about the pleasant, worry-free experience I had with Erica from Ben & Jerry's Catering at the Yamhill shop in Portland. Of the 3 Ben & Jerry's shops I contacted in Portland, she was far and away the most responsive and helpful! In a year of researching, shopping, planning and choosing vendors for my daughter and son-in-law's wedding, my experience with Erica was one of the best! I checked all the ice cream caterer's in the area. Most of them were quite expensive and had limits, restrictions, and extra charges once you got down to an estimate. Erica was one of the most easy-going, honest, cooperative vendors I had the pleasure of working with. She was so responsive and agreeable to all my questions and requests! When I was concerned about not having a choice for our handful of gluten-intolerant guests, she offered to bring some berry sorbets. As always, Ben & Jerry's ice cream is excellent and they offer so many unique and delicious options! To top it all off, Erica informed me that when you hire Ben & Jerry's Catering, you're also supporting New Avenues for Youth which provides job training to youth experiencing housing instability. While some of the B&J's corporate liberal causes don't appeal to me, anything supporting and taking care of vulnerable little ones and youth has my utmost support! We felt honored that in celebrating my daughter & son-in-law's special day, we were also able to contribute to an important cause. Thank you Erica for being such a joy to work with!!“
