Unbelievably good quality and delicious food for this affordable of prices. The meat on the melts tastes and looks very high quality and there’s also a lot of it. The sauces are fantastic. And she told us they weren’t serving fish and chips today because the ocean was too rough, meaning she uses extremely fresh fish!
This is, by far, the best fish and chips anywhere on the coast. Anywhere period! Crisp, light, melt in your mouth batter with juicy fish inside and the tartar sauce is awesome. We travel North to Oregon from Arizona yearly and didn't stop at Hunger Paynes till a few years ago. What a big mistake that was. Treat yourself to a delicious meal of fish and chips when you pass thru or if you stay awhile. Lady at the stand is really nice as well, so stop and enjoy.
