9 Best Wineries in Grants Pass

Walport Family Cellars Winery •
470 Slagle Creek Road, Grants Pass

“Walport Family Cellar did not disappoint. Our favorite hands down were the award-winning 2016 Syrah. On the palate, the wine showcases a full-bodied profile with well-integrated tannins that provide structure without overwhelming the fruit. The flavors echo the nose, with luscious dark fruits at the forefront, accompanied by the rich leather and tabaco flavor, followed by a hint of plum. A refreshing acidity balances the richness, leading to a smooth mouthfeel that coats the palate beautifully. The 2016 Syrah is a commendable representation of an exceptional red wine, offering depth, character, and a well-structured profile. Perfect for casual drinking and special occasions, it’s a wine that promises to satisfy even the most discerning palates. Thank you, WFC for the opportunity to taste your amazing wines and enjoy great company. Tony Binek & Kelli Binek“

Soloro Vineyard Wineries •

“Their wine is outstanding. The view from the deck is beautiful. The owners are super friendly and fun. They also did not charge meto taste.I find that too many of the Oregon wineries I've visited charge to taste and the wine is often overpriced. I find significantly better wine in Fair Play, CA for less and they rarely charge down there.Soloro impressed me and my family. We will be back again!“

Dwell Wines Winery •

“Dani and Dan shared their wine flight which was two white wines, a rose, and two red wines. Dani enjoyed all of their wines, and Dan enjoyed their two reds. The two reds were a Pinot Noir and Primitivo (Zinfandel), which were both very well made! We bought a bottle of the Primitivo that we enjoyed that evening.“

Troon Vineyard & Farm Winery •
1475 Kubli Road, Grants Pass

“Dani and Dan shared a flight of their wines and a Marvin Trio board - which was a sourdough loaf with three seasonal spreads. Their wines are fairly unique because they use the field yeast to ferment their grapes, and many of their wines are aged in terra cotta amphorae. They also use some concrete eggs, and some neutral French oak. These wines really showcase the natural terroir of the vineyard! Their website has fantastic notes on the wine making for each bottle, which really made for an enjoyable tasting.“
