“First time visiting Dennys in LaGrande. I came for breakfast and coffee. I ordered the 9 grain pancake slam. They slammed this recipe home, let me tell you. The absolute best pancakes ever. Scrambled eggs with cheese, sausage, and fruit. I could only finish half, but I wanted more. This Dennys has friendlier staff than any Dennys I have ever been to, and I hope they keep it that way.“
“Great food and great service! Long Branch is one of those places that seem to be disappearing in lieu of chain restaurants. If noisy, friendly, and active isn't your thing, you won't like it here. They only take cash but they have an ATM right there.“
“I have been all over this state for work from Medford to Astoria to Madras to Bend to Portland, and this Heaven sent restaurant is THE! best burger I have ever had in Oregon! The Filthy Frys were something to be held!Amazing staff, amazing music, amazing experience!Enough said!“

“A must stay if you are ever in the La Grande area and need accommodations. What a gem! My husband and I, plus teen daughter stayed in an upstairs room that was actually two rooms with a shared bathroom - one with a king bed and the other with a queen. The beds were so comfortable. Everything was very clean and uncluttered, with all the basic amenties needed. We had drinks and relaxed in the downstairs restaurant. The drinks (were great as was the atmoshere) before heading out to dinner. Which was a mistake, as we should have just eaten at The Laurel. Small menu, but from what we saw of the appetizers and dinners as we were sipping our drinks, it looked soooooo much tastier than we ended up with. It was quiet despite being on a main road. The other rooms looked to all be booked, but we never heard or saw anyone. There’s a shared balcony upstairs with seating and view of the street activity. Entrance after hours is by secure code to the building itself plus a separate code to the room. We felt very safe coming and going. We enjoyed coffee and a delicious breakfast sandwich in the morning at The Local right across the street. The historic hotel is within walking distance of shops and other restaurants. If our plans call for us to be back in the area, we would definitely stay here again over a regular hotel. And, we'll eat at the restaurant!“
“I just love staying at this unique, clean, quiet hotel! I visited for the first time 27-30 June and loved it so much I returned again last week, 18-21 July! Both times to play golf at Buffalo Peak and La Grande Country Club. Thus, I felt it only fitting to reside in the 19th Hole themed room.This place isn't your run-of-the-mill hotel. It not only has unique character because of its history and it's claw-foot tubs, beautiful carpets, tile and wood floors, and woodwork, but you're treated like family by its very kind owner Charlie and his sweet dog Rosie III. So much so, that I find it hard to leave! And the place is so peaceful being that it's located in a very safe small town with very little traffic...I thus sleep really well on their comfy beds. Hopefully, when the economy and labor market improves, Charlie can one day reopen the restaurant, but for now some good restaurants and stores are within easy walking distance.Definitely one of my favorite places to stay in all my frequent travels playing golf! Inexpensive too!“
“I was blown away by the quiche at this place. It was so full of flavor, and the custard was perfect. The only unpleasant experience was a customer trying to rush the kitchen and being a bit of a butthead about things. Sometimes waiting twenty minutes is worth it. It definitely is in this restaurant’s case.All of the baked items we tried were amazing. The drip coffee is surprisingly good as well. Nice book selection, we found two for my toddler while hanging out.“
