“The food and flavors at Dolly Olive were so unique in a good way. Items are served family style and meant to be shared with the recommendation of 2 dishes per person which seems about right. We left feeling satisfied and full but not overstuffed.

We ordered everything at the same time, and the kitchen delivered the dishes at appropriate times. We were served the warm, marinated olives and Dolly Caesar Salad at the same time, and both were very delicious. The Caesar salad has some twists to the traditional Caesar that worked well and was not heavy at all. Next up were the mushroom ravioli with a lemon sauce that was divine, and raviolis that had a great balance of pasta to mushroom filling. Our 4th dish was the eggplant parmigiana, and it may be the best version of this dish we’ve ever had. We were trying to figure out how they got the flavors so deep and smoky from the cheese to the eggplant and the marinara sauce. Our last savory dish was the crispy chicken confit which was bursting with such different textures and flavors that one wouldn’t think would go together, but they do.

After looking at the dessert menu, we decided to split the cannoli which was plentiful for 2 people. Similar to the salad, it wasn’t a traditional cannoli. The shell seemed more of an Asian eggroll shell, and we couldn’t figure out the underlying flavor in the chocolate filling. When we got a bit of the shell, filling, and caramel topping in one bite — oh my how good.

The service was very attentive as we had a main server, but it seems the entire front of the house staff ensures efficient (but not rushed) service. Our food was delivered by 4 different people other than our main server, and we had a 4th person clean our table after our ‘mains’ and before dessert. Everyone seemed focused on ensuring we had a great experience and enjoyed every bite.

Our bill came to $125 before tip which we thought was reasonable and a good value.“

“Amazingly delicious food! Pizza was unbelievably good and unique. Roman and his crew were so genuine and accommodating. The cheese pie was perfect for the kids and the jalepeno pineapple, mushroom sausage and even dessert pizza... All excellent. Will definitely be a new favorite on our list!“

I ordered delivery and got a deluxe wrap with grilled chicken and the curly garlic fries and liked the food so much that I got a little obsessed and ordered again the very next night 🫣 Just really wanted to try the lamb after how good the chicken wrap was, and the lamb was even better! Extremely moist and tender while still having great char, and overall really flavorful. These guys obviously care about making good food and it shows. Thank you for a couple delicious meals! “We each had a combo plate, which were very large, we could have easily share one and gotten some appetizers. The bread was so good- it was as if foccassia and pita /or Naan bread had a baby. The link sausages and their special Chevapi had such great flavor. You can really taste the mix of regional cultures in the food. it made me look up more about the region because I had no idea of the flavorful influences. Highly recommend!“

“One of the best Mediterranean style restaurants in Portland. It is not strictly traditional as there are Mexican influences, especially with their lamb/pork sausage being pastor adjacent. We love to get the lamb and pork plate, or the seafood platter. It is such a good deal and the seafood is cooked excellently and the squid ink rice is great. I love that they have octopus and it's really deliciously charred while still being tender. Their pita is also fantastic and it's precut into easy to dip triangles. The hummus is great and perfectly complements the pita.“

“Don’t miss this yummy cart in the back corner! If you like a lot of sauces, this is your place. I got the lamb plate and it came with hummus, tzaziki and two other sauces. They have gluten free pita too. It was a lot of food too. And there’s some tables to eat at.

“We pick up take out from here at least once a month. It is always fast and good quality with a large serving sizes. Their chicken shawarma and lamb gyros are my favorites among all the other gyro restaurants in the area. Staff was helpful for dietary restrictions. They have Arabic and Greek style pita bread, which both are good. It is in a strip mall so not much atmosphere but the food makes up for it. My kids really like the chicken shawarma and it is so easy for a quick dinner.“
