“My wife and I decided to check out the new Rocks AVA and the wineries there. Obviously Cayuse is there, but we wondered what else. Among a handful of wineries we found, was a real gem... Ducleaux. Chris and Tony are the owners and do almost all the work. They have created a line of wines that they label after their life experiences. Bottom line, great wine, better people, excellent experience. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!“

“The farm that the Cayuse Vineyards sits on used to be owned by my grandparents Joe and Eunice Waliser. I don't remember when they purchased it, I only remember growing up picking the fruit from the apple and cherry trees and tagging along behind my uncles who were a decade older than me. We drove past the property a little over a year ago and I can't believe that the house is still there; however, the landscape has changed dramatically. It's great to see that this land, that I grew up on, is being recognized and valued through the art and science of wine making.“
“Went to this place as someone said it had the best sangria around. I lived in Spain and this was really good. They have a nice outdoor area too!
We couldn’t really enjoy it as it was too hot but we sat there anyway! Bring your own growler if you want to bring some home!“
“We absolutely loved our experience at Rotie Cellars.
We work in the wine industry in Paso Robles and were excited to squeeze in a visit to a Walla Walla winery during a quick pass-through. Before the trip, we asked several trusted wine-knowledgeable friends for recommendations, and Rotie was the one winery that made every single list — and now we understand why.
From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed. Liz, the tasting room manager, was fantastic — friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful. She knew every detail about each wine, vintage, and vineyard, as well as the broader Walla Walla region. On top of that, she gave us great local tips and was just genuinely fun to chat with.
In addition to amazing hospitality, every single wine we tasted was interesting, balanced, complex, and beautifully made. We loved the diversity and character in each pour and honestly wish we’d taken more bottles home.
The tasting room itself is stunning, with great views over the Rocks District and surrounding vineyards — elegant and relaxed with a great sense of place.
A quick side note for families: we had our kids with us (we know, wineries + kids = controversial). But Rotie was very accommodating. They offered juice, snacks, and even bubbles to keep the kids entertained — off to the side so as not to disrupt other guests. Our kids have grown up wine tasting and do surprisingly well, but even they said Rotie was their favorite winery :)
If you're looking for phenomenal wines and a memorable experience, Rotie should be at the top of your list. We’re so glad we went — and we’ll definitely be back. You won’t regret it.“
“Fantastic setting with spectacular wines. I forgot they also serve great food - flatbreads, salad nicoise, pork rillette - yum! Their Pasxa is one of our favorite wines but today the white Lip Stinger, Rhone blend and Tempranillo way surprised on the up side and convinced us to join their club (plus 2 Pasxa). “LOVED our visit to Dillon. We were a group of 15 and it was hands down our favorite experience we had. “What a wonderful experience! We came in on a cold February day and were the only people in the tasting room for a bit. The tasting room was cozy and we sank right into one of the big couches. Josh greeted us and we enjoyed chatting with him and learning about the wines and history while we had a leisurely tasting experience, even after a few other parties arrived. The wines were very exceptional- can’t wait to return.“

“Walla Walla has great wine, but in my 3 days there, this was by far the best. Our group of 12 consisted of experienced Wine enthusiasts that frequent Napa, Sonoma, and Paso Robles to name a few places and everyone agreed this was the best winery we visited. 100% grapes, excellently made. Bold tasting, wonderful wines. No brainer to sign up for Club membership. Great atmosphere and Mike was awesome.“

“Great wine & what an awesome customer experience! Brent lead my wine tasting & he did such a nice job describing each wine I tasted & he was so kind & personable. I loved the 2023 Pink Pape Rosé & the Syrah. I was able to order a bottle & enjoy it while listening to live music & they had an array of food trucks to choose from. My husband & I truly enjoyed Tranche. Should we ever be in Walla Walla again, we will be sure to visit. Thank you Brent for making our experience so memorable & holding a table for those of us not from the area!“
“My partner and I visited this spot on May 14 because my friend recommended it. We made a reservation in advance, but it wasn't busy at all. When we went in, there were only 2 servers and they smiled at us awkwardly. I don't know why. Everything looked clean except I found a few hairs on the chair when I sat down. My partner really liked their wine. I can't drink, but I liked the atmosphere and enjoyed learning about the family history and the winery. We got one chocolate each for pairing. It was so good we purchased a box of chocolate(18 pieces) when we left. While we were there, a lady walked in just to buy the box of chocolates as well so you know it's that good.“

“We had a great tasting here and I have to give big thanks and props to the person who did our pours for also being so sweet to our daughter. It was a hot day and their lovely shaded patio was perfect for some great wine, a snack, and a cold non-alcoholic drink for her. The story of this wine is pretty amazing and we are so glad we stopped in and had a chance to try the wine and buy a bottle for later!“

Info: The tasting is $35 a person for 4 wines. Nice setting. Nice staff. Barrel tasting experience (which is a lot of fun!) with free nibbles.

“Pursued By Bear is a highly enjoyable tasting experience, and not just because I got to meet a celebrity. Kyle MacLachlan and his team are incredibly gracious and knowledgeable. He went above and beyond interacting with everyone equally. Cute, classy and casual atmosphere with some damn fine wine. Only one minor piece of constructive criticism - more tables / seating needed. These meet-and-sips are crowded, and I personally wanted more breathing room to linger. Yes, it's an intimate community gathering event - but my options were limited to: sharing a small table with strangers, awkwardly hovering in the corner, or hiding in the bathroom. I'm unsure how this can be accomplished with the small building, however I'm VERY grateful it's in Walla Walla. For someone who doesn't typically enjoy wine socially, my expectations were exceeded. Looking forward to our next visit and eager to support.—Other noteworthy positives: high quality finger food for snacking, desirable merchandise for sale, variety of options to sample.“

The shape of the glass to the flavor profile of the wine... go to Cotes De Ciel and ask... you will gain an understanding that's immeasurably valuable. “Upon arrival, you're greeted by a host carrying out a glass of rosé to meet you as you walk toward the building from parking. Talk about feeling like a VIP! The tasting room is spacious and gorgeous. The tasting was excellent, with a fresh glass for each wine and several more offered off the set list, as your host learns your preferences. The wines were a bit pricey, but flavor profile was right up our alley (only slightly sweet, rather than bone dry). We also enjoyed a well provisioned charcuterie board, which makes a tasting so much better, IMHO. Service was friendly.
One tip - of 10 tastings we did over the weekend, this was the only one that didn't waive the tasting fee with bottles of wine purchased.“

“We had such a great time at this tasting room. Personally, we loved the wines and the charm of the building was a nice added touch,! We bought several bottles AND joined the wine club! Found out that this winery is associated with a few others that we really like. Archery Summit and Pine Ridge to name a few! We will take advantage of that! ??

“One of the best kept secrets in Walla Walla. In fact, I'm hesitant to write about them because I don't want anyone else to know about this place: I want it all to myself. Their wine is spectacular; artisan and heart-felt, ingenious and original. I love the variations they do on Chardonnay. If you can get some rose snag as much as you can because it goes fast. Its been a while since I went on a big weekend (barrel tasting, spring release, etc.) but I recall they make an awesome spread of cheeses. 'Just Really good people. Oh yeah, because they don't use a distributor, their wines are 10-20% cheaper than everyone else.“

“Dusted Valley is a family-owned estate winery in Walla Walla and has a great story. They have a patio area with nice views as well as an inside tasting room. Their wines are delicious; we LOVED the Squirrel Tooth Alice. Thanks to wine maker Corey for a very entertaining experience, we highly recommend Dusted Valley.“

“Small and intimate tasting room. Very conveniently located if you’re staying at the Marcus Whitman hotel. A great line up of whites and red wine, the Syrah and the sublime blend are both delicious. If you’re staying downtown I would definitely recommend this place as a stop on your wine tour!“

If you’re in the area and you’re looking for a fantastic wine tasting & some paired snacks and charcuterie this is your place!
We were driving back home for the holidays and decided to stop in. We were greeted with the most beautiful Christmas decor and friendly faces.
Major & Aly at the walk up bar were amazing!!! We joked about bringing them along the rest of our 20 hour drive, just because of how well they treated us. They knew so much about the wine and us being “wanna-be wine connoisseurs” loved it. They made us really enjoy our experience and we will be back because of them and the top tier wine quality.
Parking: Easy, free street parking. Plenty.
Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access to front doors.“

“My best friend and I came into Browne as our first stop for his birthday trip. I literally cannot express how BEYOND HAPPY we both were with Megan’s hospitality during our wine tasting. She was so beyond attentive, personable, and knowledgable about everything she handed us. We had never visited before, but this is now a new stop during our trip here. Megan’s presence was the entire reason we are so happy. She deserves all praise from the owners. 10/10 hospitality.“
