FWIW, clouds can ruin the sunset view. Otherwise, this spot would ROCK in clear weather.
Pleasant Barkeep. A short list of Rogue beerw on tap. The gem, beyond the view and the solid tavern aspects, are their distilled spirits. All the tastes are under $15, and I light be outing the man, but generous. Lots near cask strength so a little ice water tomdilut may come in handy, and let you tast all there is in the glass.

How in the world have we gone years and not known about this spot?? Chris, bartender extraordinaire, was great!! He created a fantastic dealer’s choice of distillery gems (of course we bought a bottle of our fave to take home) and was just a cool guy to sit and chat with over drinks. The fact that it’s good-dog friendly? We’ll be back, for sure!!
Rogue Spirits Sunset Bar has a great relaxed atmosphere. Every one of their bartenders serves up a tasty beverage, especially Chris & Jackson! The small snack menu is perfect for ordering off of and hanging out to watch the sunset. As a small local business ourselves, we appreciate Rogue and its contributions to supporting local businesses in our friendly coastal community.
Rogue Spirits Sunset Bar is a popular spot with a lovely outdoor area, perfect for enjoying good weather and taking in an amazing view of the Newport Bridge. The bar serves a variety of tasty cocktails, including the whiskey sampler, and offers a selection of craft beer. The knowledgeable staff are happy to share their expertise on cocktails, spirits, and the Newport area. The patio is dog-friendly, but dogs cannot enter the interior. Guests can also explore a secret cocktail menu, available via QR code, which is definitely worth checking out. This cozy bar atmosphere makes it a must-visit when in Newport.
The bar has a great relaxed atmosphere, and every one of the bartenders serves up a tasty beverage. The small snack menu is perfect for ordering off of and hanging out to watch the sunset. The bar offers excellent service and well-designed cocktails that highlight their products. The charcuterie plates and tinned fish are delicious.
However, some guests have reported an unpleasant musty sewage smell in certain areas of the building, which can put a damper on the overall experience. Despite this, the pretzels are delicious, the prawns are good without the breading, and the fries are seasoned well.
