Dave is awesome! The wine options are great and they don’t pressure you with a bunch of information that you don’t want. Very knowledgeable staff without the pretentious attitude. Would highly recommend. Bonus points for cool local regulars and an affordable retail offering. We grabbed 3 glasses in the bar and 3 bottles to go.
1856 Beer Wine Cider was a phenomenal stop during our recent Portland trip. The place was empty when we arrived which makes sense since we arrived during some odd hours early in the afternoon. The bartender was incredibly helpful and friendly, and the whole group was impressed by both the wine and beer selections. It's not the largest store or bar, but combined it was an incredibly delightful time.
