The tofu and veggies sandwich (I get it made vegan by omitting mayo) is PHENOMENAL each & every time I get it (it been 3+ years now. No other vegan banh mi option in town does it for me the way An Xuyen does
I can't believe it took me so long to try this place. This is an absolute Portland gem. The bahn mi are PERFECTION - loaded with meat and SO fresh, and only $7. Everything is absolutely perfect. I hope this place endures for all eternity.
A small bakery that does sandwiches and various other odds and ends, as well.
They have black and white cookies miles ahead of the typical ones available at places such as Trader Joe's and Kroger stores. The ones at An Xuyên are baked with a chocolate base (cakesque) cookie, which I personally prefer.
The prices are very competitive!
The baguette of the banh mi was ideal, a crisp crunchy outer layer with a soft interior....
