Just stepped into the Cascade Cafe because I wanted to have a look around and see what the vibe was. It was under construction, so you had to go around to the left side of the building. They have a nice outdoor seating area. When I went inside, the place wasn't empty. A lot of people weren't there, probably because it's in front of the zoo and people are mostly in the center or the far back area of the zoo. It is quite a big building. Open while construction in progress. Walk around building to the left. Espresso and other beverages, sandwiches, salads, pastries, and popcorn. Prices seemed reasonable. We only got espresso, but the food looked good. Prices seemed reasonable for the venue. Staff was friendly and efficient. It is accessible without zoo entry. Indoor and outdoor seating available. The food portion are small and not very filling. Got a turkey wrap the was 70% iceberg lettuce
