Went on a rainy night for the fabulous sounds of Reggae Dub DJs at Catalina's Mexican restaurant. It was much better than expected based on photos. As far as the food goes, had a burrito, it was good. The chips and salsa were excellent. Friend had burrito as well and commented on how delicious the sauces were. Okay, not to be one of "those" people, but here we go. I live in LA where we have some of the best authentic Mexican food this side of the border. You can't go wrong with our street tacos, burritos, chile rellenos, etc etc. But sometimes I get a craving for the type of food that comes with a place that gives you complimentary chips and salsa when you sit down, so we decided to give place a shot after a long day of house hunting in the PDX area. Great service, food and environment!I had such a great experience at this restaurant I had to make a review. The food and drinks were very good! Our waiter was very nice to us, and even gave us free chips and salsa with our leftovers to take home. The interior and exterior is also very nice. It feels like a little Mexico! I recommend this restaurant completely!
