Awesome Cuban spot on Hawthorne! Free parking and a beautiful outdoor patio area. We ordered the Pan con Lechon with yuca fries and spicy mojo dipping sauce and the Ropa Viejo platter with yellow rice and maduros. Definitely order a side of tostones also to scoop the slow cooked beef with for the perfect bite! And make sure to finish it off with a Cafe Cubano.
If you're looking for the ultimate comfort food, Cubo is the place to go! I had the mojo pork plate and added mango for a delicious sweet and savory combination. I always love the upbeat and lively energy in the restaurant, and the space is very vibrant and authentic. I went right when they opened so i had the whole place to myself. I ordered a cubano sandwich and it came with tostones (fried plantain). The portion was big so i could only eat half. It's very tasty. Your order at the counter and get a number so there's really no service. They also have utensil and water station set up for self-serve. Follow me @bonn_voyager for more.
