“Sweet Husband and Wife… so quaint and nostalgic. Was staying in walking distance, and came in with my Grand-daughter. We had the most delicious pancakes we have ever eaten, and even ordered some to go!!! The steak and eggs were delish. Perfect sunny side up eggs. So hard to find nowadays! The hash blew my mind… I could have eaten three helpings!!! Just typing this is making me long for them again! We were treated like family, because I was raised to be respectful. I cringe at how some people treat those that serve them at restaurants. We can’t wait to go back when I am back in town…

“This is my favorite Chinese food in all of Portland! When you walk up to the truck you see the older couple working hard, and are met with friendliness and warmth as they take your order and start working on it. They always make sure they got the order correct, and the food is always spectacular. We regularly order the lo mein, general tao's, orange chicken, broccoli beef, and crab puffs. Truly the best! I love that they have combo meals too, most Chinese restaurants only have family style portions of each item. The combo meals are still great portions! I can't recommend Tan's Happy Kitchen enough!“

“We hadn’t been here in years because it used to be incredibly crowded, but we decided to give it another try recently, and we’re glad we did. The atmosphere was so calm and inviting this time around. We had the Big Meat Lovers Scramble ($14.25) and French Toast ($16.50) with a side of savory goodness, along with two coffees ($3.75 each). The French Toast was especially easy to enjoy with its savory side. After our meal, we received a pumpkin pie on the house, which was a gentle delight. Everything was delicious, and the server, who was working alone, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. It completely changed our previous impression—we left feeling very satisfied.🤤

Today, we had the Classic Buttermilk Pancakes with Ham and Eggs ($15.35) and the Blueberry French Crepes ($15.35) with Ice Cream ($1.95), a White Russian ($6.95), and Coffee ($3.75). The crepes were soft and chewy, with plenty of blueberries packed inside. The pancakes were fluffy and large, making for a satisfying meal.

Today, we had a Mexican Omelet ($15.95) and a Classic BLT ($14.30), along with coffee ($3.75) and a Greyhound cocktail ($6.95). We enjoyed a relaxing time with delicious food.🥰“

“First time here was amazing.
Valerie was so amazingly accommodating. She was the only one up front handling tables, packing orders, serving food, and making milkshakes.
She truly is a one in a million when it comes to true restaurant service.
The John Wayne burger was juicy and very flavorful. The chicken strips were crispy in the perfect batter.
Valerie made us a peanut butter Oreo milkshake to split and it was perfect.
We will most definitely be coming back.“

“Met friends for an early morning breakfast and was very pleasantly surprised. Service was really great. Ordered the two eggs, bacon and french toast. For the price might be the best breakfast I've had in months! Place was clean, service was fast and friendly. Way to go Denny's!“

“I don't know why I gave the atmosphere 3 I think it's because it seems kind of outdated. However the service and food completely make up for it. The house bloody Mary is the best I've had in a long time. $6.50 nice price as well. 👍👍👍“

“Hadn't been in a decade or so, and nothing has changed, which is a great thing. This is a fantastic place to get your bloat on.
The food is generous, delicious, and greasy (at least my Denver omelet was). The coffee was rocket fuel badgood. The atmosphere is relaxed to the max with a wide variety of diners to side-eye at and a cool ordering process right up in front of the cooking area.
My only slight gripe is that they aren't 24 hours anymore. Now THAT used to get a zanily wacko six stars.“
