Safe and comfortable place to relax and work, when you need a place in a pinch to get some things done or just a place to unwind... nice find! Great staff... ALL VOLUNTEERS! Many businesses need to have their staff experience being served here, these people are volunteers and are respectful, cheerful, and nice; yet most paid servers here in Portland are not so respectful, cheerful, or nice, and are usually loudly complaining about their jobs. EASTSIDE COFFEE IS AWESOME!

Annex Coffee is a great neighborhood coffee shop and community space. It has good coffee, a great latte, and a wonderful spot to work with Wi-Fi, a printer, and quiet private booths with power outlets. The atmosphere is 10 stars, with very mellow music, very warm ambience with soft lighting, a wood ceiling, warm tones, and tons of plants. The service and staff are great, super friendly, and make you feel right at home. They offer yummy pastries and a new breakfast sandwich with a housemade sausage fennel patty which is really quite delicious at a reasonable price. The space is ample, welcoming, and inspiring for work or creative space. They always feature local artists on their walls and host crafts/artist markets. The café is connected to a church, open on weekdays, and has phone booths for private calls. Plenty of space to work and easy to park.
