I had the pleasure of taking the tour of this Portland icon, Mary, our guide, was knowledgeable, energetic, and responsive to emails. I was under the impression that Franz only made low-end products, but they supply a number of labels such as Wholefoods 365. Have you tried their new product that resembles Dave's Killer Bread? Learning about their history and seeing their production process is so worth it.

I love this place. Over 20 year's I've been coming hear. I always find great bread and Goodie's at great prices. I hope the new sign doesn't look to different. Thanks for all of the fun filed trips, I got to go on with my kid's.
