Grand Fir Brewing is a welcome addition to the Southeast Stark and 14th Avenue neighborhood. The restaurant offers a variety of tasty offerings, including their popular pulled pork sandwich, excellent burgers, and smoked wings. The basic burger, while simple in ingredients, is priced at $16. During Portland Sandwich Week 2024, the pulled pork was praised as fantastic, with the juicy, flavorful meat not needing any added barbecue sauce. The fries and their accompanying sauce were also highly enjoyed. The restaurant features a clean, two-level interior with indoor and outdoor seating and large windows, providing a comfortable dining experience. The upscale pub grub, such as the tarragon in the Dungeness crab roll and the smoked and fried chicken with IPA honey mustard sauce, makes for a unique experience. Service can be slow at times with only one bartender working, but the friendly staff and cozy atmosphere make it a great spot. The low noise levels and the great location, especially before a show at Rev Hall, contribute to an enjoyable visit. The beers are well made and delicious, adding to the overall experience.
