Very great service and food. I recommend this place for awesome food.
I ordered the chicken shawarma, and it was incredible!! The portion was quite large, so I was able to enjoy leftovers the next day. The fries were also delicious! I would avoid the baklava as it is not particularly good. The truck was being run by one person when I was there, and I was impressed by the speed and quality of his service. The atmosphere was not great, mostly due to it being located in downtown Portland which can be sketchy.
DELICOUS middle eastern food. I had the chicken shawarma and it was very well spiced and a little greasy and hit the spot perfectly! Wait time was a little longer than i'd like but that was because it was late and there was only one guy manning the stand (who was very polite). Make sure to get the $3 Baklava too! Its a steal!

Gyro Place Egyptian Halal Food is a popular destination for delicious meals. The restaurant offers a variety of options, including the double Lamb gyro, which is expertly wrapped to avoid mess, and the incredible chicken shawarma, which is very well spiced and a little greasy. The lamb is tender and well-paired with Greek sauces, vegetables, and warm pita. The fries are perfectly cooked and served at the ideal temperature. The lunch special Lamb Gyro is a great value at $6.95, featuring a generous portion of tender lamb, crispy vegetables, and just the right amount of sauces. The Mezza Plate is a great vegetarian choice, with falafel cooked to perfection, hummus, pita, and grape leaves packed with flavor. The baklava is a steal at $3, though some find it not particularly good. The service is fast and friendly, even when the truck is run by one person. The atmosphere is not great due to its downtown Portland location, but the food makes up for it.
