Great spot in the Pearl to grab a coffee and get some work done! I stopped by Matta Cafe as part of my Coffee Crawl series, where I check out Portland coffee shops from a work-from-home perspective.
Coffee: 9/10 — strong, creamy, and tasty
Vibes: 7/10 — cute space, but I wish the seating was a little more comfortable for working (the space doubles as a bar in the evening, so the seating makes sense)

The space is beautiful, and the employee who helped me was great! Even though there was a pretty long line and she was the only person working at the time. she let us all know an estimated timeline for when we’d receive our coffee, and she was right on. Even though she didn’t take our names, she remembered who ordered which drink and delivered everyone’s drinks without any confusion. Very impressive!
Great spot to get a tasty treat and get some work done.
