Beautiful restaurant in a nice location in downtown Portland. Dishes are very flavorful, well presented and tasteful. We liked that the portion sizes are moderate which allows you to mix and match few different menu items. The baked eggplant, grilled shrimp was excellent. Servers are prompt, courteous and helpful. The seating arrangement is cute, we enjoyed the aide-by-side seating facing out to the road. Restaurant was full even at 4:30 pm. Would come back here again!
Went early (4pm) on a Saturday. Staff was great, food was solid, but seems to have taken a slight step back from what I remember in the years past. Smaller hummus plate and I believe shalom y'all wins now for flavor quite easily. Abu Hassan in tel aviv is known for healthy portions and strong flavor, gotta live up to it if you use the name.
My wife and I went on a mini moon out in Portland and stayed at the Canopy Hotel. One evening, we decided to walk to dinner and, honestly, we totally lucked out. We ended up sitting at the bar, and Slater was our server and bar tender and he was seriously amazing. Super knowledgeable about the menu and gave us killer recommendations. Plus, his bartending skills were off the charts! I’m telling you, next time we come back, we’re definitely stopping by again....
