“Things to dig about the Record Pub: - Music for every type of listener. -Bar to sit down for a drink and think about what records you need to add to your arsenal. -Staff to talk about your selections with. -Educated suggestions for additional beats based upon the ensuing conversation of music you’ll have with the bartender. -Finishing another beverage all happy and giddy about the new vinyl you’re taking home.“

“Rose City Book Pub hosted us for a show and they were amazing. The staff worked SO hard to take care of us, especially since they weren’t expecting a huge group of wizard rockers to descend upon their establishment. What a cool venue, and so welcoming. Thank you thank you thank you!“

“I love staying at the White Eagle, a historic working person’s hotel in North Portland. The music venue downstairs is wonderful, food always excellent, rooms are basic and comfy, bathrooms down the hall clean with lots of hot water for showers. Best of all, friendly staff and courteous fellow guests. Bargain prices. I stay here on almost all my trips through Portland.“

“This is one of our standbys in the beautiful alphabet district in Portland. The food and the drinks are always on point, and it’s always an excellent experience. Whether we are sitting at the bar watching soccer, or on the back patio access in the back bar, we are always well taken care of. It’s one of our family favorite spots to meet!“
“Everything is great except for one of the male bartenders.“
“It has the small town....but worldly feel.
Katie and Sammy are the best sirens of the night. If we just had the back smoke rack...with plants (that the regulars would take care of) growing all through the brick brack.... again, JS.“

“Close to home, inexpensive drinks, all the tvs have football, there's keno, 2 pool tables (free on sundays), and slot machines. The other day they let me watch spongebob at 3pm. Who could wish for anything more?!“

“Great little find in the heart of the King neihborhood.
This place was packed. Saturday night, post show, we needed a waterin hole. Now after having a couple drinks in us, we didn't feel fancy, we just needed somewhere to land. Alberta Street Pub did not disappoint.
The crowd was loud. Good vibes, happy people, everyone seemed to have the same vibe. Drinks did take a while, as the bar was busy... but that's a good problem to have.
The bartenders did not miss that people were lined up for drinks - they made the wait worthwhile! Strong drinks, fairly expensive, but it's a pub on a Saturday night, what do you expect?
The bar was packed, too much for my deaf self to hear anyone talk, so we resorted to the patio. Was a bit disappointed at the amount of people vaping. The air was thick with smoke and you could smell the cigarettes that people were smoking just outside of the patio.
Overall, it's a grungy bar to land for some decent drinks late any evening. We'd stop by again if around.“

“As a visitor from South Carolina (aka Trumpistan), I am thrilled to know places like this establishment actually exist. We have no such refuges in my region. It’s so refreshing to mingle with people who value good drinks, good politics, and good society.
Thank you thank you for making my visit to Portland memorable.
Thank you for supporting and defending your community so well.
Thank you for just being good humans.
Solidarity!“
“Old Portland. Excellent beers and cocktails, pinball, music from Tom Waits to Rainbow. Totinos pizza and White Castles provide a buffer to the alcohol. An expansive patio affords views of the Clinton Street bike path and happy Portlanders passing. Go here and experience Portland circa 1995.“

“The poutine was just OK. They need to add pocked 9 ions and pickled jalapenos as standard and allow you to take them off if you don't like them. Also, the best poutine I have had has braised beef or pulled pork or some sort of meat to balance all the flavors.
The beer was very good. I tried their reserve stuff and their bourbon barrel aged beer and they were pretty good - all of them.“

“A classic pub/bar experience with an incredibly charming and knowledgeable bar back who obvious takes great pride in his work and making the establishment feel welcoming and homey. Grab some of the beers on tap or a delicious cider, listen to some live Irish music (on Thursdays) and a basket of shoestring fries for the table and have a merry time.“

“Well, there is just nothing to warm your soul after a long work week than an evening at Prost. Sharing a lovely pretzel and a pint of beer you havent tried before because you told the sweet gal behind the bar you didnt know what you wanted but something warm and nutty sounded nice, but best of all the kind and inviting atmosphere created not only by the warmth of the wood fixtures and space heaters but mostly by the staff and lovely people who are drawn to the space.
PSA: Yes you will come across the ocassional obnoxious table of 30 something white women who leave all their trash and trays with no regard of how to behave in public, this will not be frequent. If you can shame through politely reminding them they forgot half a burrito and should clean up their table, the onlookers will cheer as if you preserve the sanctity of the patio.
A good time for all is to be had (i write as I sip Hofbräu wearing a smug smile)“

“If you’re looking for a converted former elementary school where you can drink to your hearts content without any school teachers hassling you, you’ve found the right place.
Reasonably priced lunches….my favorite is the turkey and cranberry sandwich with the Cajun flavored tater tots.
Their beers, hard ciders and cocktails are all top notched as well.“

“We came here after driving by several times and decided to try it out. What we loved was that this place was initially a home. We loved the antiques and quirky items sitting on the wall shelves which reminded us of ‘the good ole days’. Our drinks and food - I had the salmon salad and hubby had the burger - , were very tasty and served quickly by our waiter who was very attentive. We will definitely be returning.“

“As long-time fans and passport holders of McMenamins, we’ve visited quite a few of their locations over the years, but this was actually one we hadn’t managed to check out until now 😊. We stopped by fairly late in the evening for a late dinner, so the place was a bit quieter than usual.
The servers were friendly and polite, although they seemed a little distracted and possibly busy. For example, after our appetizer arrived we still hadn’t received water, utensils, or napkins, which made things a bit awkward at first 🍽️. It wasn’t a huge issue, but it was noticeable.
For our meal, we ordered one more classic-style dish and one of their specialty options. The food was definitely good and satisfying, though compared to some other McMenamins locations we’ve visited, it didn’t quite stand out as much. Still, the quality was solid and enjoyable 👍.
The atmosphere felt a bit more low-key than what we usually experience at McMenamins spots, but considering the late hour and what looked like a slightly understaffed team, it made sense. Overall, it’s a decent place if you’re looking for a relaxed meal with friendly staff and above-average pub-style food 🍔🍻.
If someone is trying McMenamins for the first time, I might suggest visiting one of their more iconic locations first for the full experience. But if you already enjoy the brand and just want a solid, casual stop, this spot definitely gets the job done 👍✨.“

“I'm 59, female, and the cold pilsner beer hit the spot on a stormy day. Casual, comfy atmosphere. Bring a charging cord as there's ports at the bar to charge electronic devices. This was huge for us. A couple pool table so bring your que.

“Great local taproom. They play great music on a double record player, and great live music on the weekends. The cider in particular is very good. The food is hot or miss, the pizza is great if a little pricey, the apps and sandwiches are getting better.

“The number one hidden gem is SW Portland. I live part time in SW Portland and also in Gleneden Beach. The Bullseye Pub has the best service and the food is great. The service is way above the other establishments in the area. Ryan is SO amazing. The place can be extremely busy, and he still always gives us top notch service and always makes us feel like we are his only
patrons. He is the reason we keep going back. Tonight we had the Prime Rib special, the prime rib was cooked to perfection, the baked potato and veggies were ideal as well. I also want to give Ian a shout out, as he is awesome too. I have only been there once when he was working, another great guy. I used to frequent another place close by, but because of the service at the Bullseye, I prefer to spend my money where we are treated like gold. Thank You Bullseye for treating me like a local. Above and beyond, 5 plus stars. Great service is the key, you have me locked.“
