“Great place, and bartender was amazing.“
“Things to dig about the Record Pub: - Music for every type of listener. -Bar to sit down for a drink and think about what records you need to add to your arsenal. -Staff to talk about your selections with. -Educated suggestions for additional beats based upon the ensuing conversation of music you’ll have with the bartender. -Finishing another beverage all happy and giddy about the new vinyl you’re taking home.“

“This is my favorite place in Portland. I love the open mics, the trans community events, the potlucks, and the openness of the space. Every time I walk in, I feel welcome. The worker-owners are caring and kind people. The giraffe is definitely a fun added touch - but my favorite part of the Tap is definitely the community. This place has singlehandedly motivated me to stay in Portland.“

“Prost! is an amazing German-styled beer pub that is not-to-be-missed if you enjoy that style of brew. Hipsters looking for the latest Pacific NW IPA need not apply. The food is appropriate for the venue and excellent. Staff is polite and engaging in what is commonly a busy environment; a rare combination. My only reluctance to writing this review is to bring an already-popular venue even more foot traffic for entirely selfish reasons! Prost!“
“Cool atmosphere in an old elementary school. Great vibe, adequate food, wonderful drinks.
I got lost looking for a bathroom, wandered by a working library and a hot swimming pool of happy people laughing and jumping around. Very cool grounds for walking and getting lost in.
Was there for the food only. Great cider and great beer choices. Again, food adequate but not the reason to go.“

“I'm 59, female, and the cold pilsner beer hit the spot on a stormy day. Casual, comfy atmosphere. Bring a charging cord as there's ports at the bar to charge electronic devices. This was huge for us. A couple pool table so bring your que.
Parking: Small parking lot in back.“

“Love McMenamins, they have consistently good food, music, low lighting, beautiful art, lovely places, all of them.
However, this particular location has an issue with their service. At times, you'll be forgotten about or outright ignored while the servers chat it up with each other at the bar. They OFTEN just stand around talking to each other for long stretches.
It's fine to socialize at work in this type of environment, sure, not opposed to that. But when I'm sitting waiting for 15 mins and no one approaches to take my order or serve me water, all while laughing and talking about their pets at the bar, it reflects very poorly.“

“Great local taproom. They play great music on a double record player, and great live music on the weekends. The cider in particular is very good. The food is hot or miss, the pizza is great if a little pricey, the apps and sandwiches are getting better.
Wheelchair accessibility: Not easily accessed by wheelchair that I could see. At least one or 2 steps at every entrance.“

“Missed brunch at the hotel. They sent us to Concordia. The cook was running late so we sat on the sunny stoop and waiting till they arrived. The bartender set us up with a couple morning beverages on the house while we waited. When the cook(s) arrived our order was taken and was brought out quite quickly. The eggs Benedict was cooked perfectly to my likeing and the lite cheese and dairy on the side breakfast burrito came as it was ordered. I took a bite of it and it was tasty.“

“Been coming here for years. I wouldn’t say that I am necessarily a regular, but this is the number one place I’ll go in town for halibut fish and chips. The best, freshly dipped and fried.
However, the $4 fountain economy cola in addition to the three dollar to-go fee was maybe enough to make me not want to go back. I was certainly surprised at my total when given my bill. The bartender on shift said the $3 to go fee was for the kitchen staff apparently but don’t mind the 20% tip I left in hopes that it would be shared with weight and kitchen staff. Getting charge extra because I am taking my food to go seems quite odd. I guess just a heads up would’ve been nice.“

“The Reubens were delicious, but the highlight was definitely the chocolate chip cookie. It may be the best cookie I've ever had from a restaurant!“
“With its odd location in a neighborhood scarred by the modernization of Portland this is a truly interesting little bar.
As a part of the McMenamins company it would traditionally be a place I would avoid however, as a resident of the Boise neighborhood and living along Mississippi I have found that this bar is by far and away the most comfortable, welcoming and relaxing bar in the entire area. Forget the trendy bars on upper Mississippi with their excessively rude bartenders and try out this place. Weather it’s a weekend and it’s filled with people off to see a great show or a week night where it’s a slower pace it never fails to hold an energy of that lost neighborhood bar. Also, the bartender Janice possesses an excellent presence of self and has always given me the most friendly and warm service.“

“Absolutely love Sellwood Saloon! This place is a gem in every way possible. The owners are fantastic - welcoming, friendly, and truly passionate about what they do. The bartenders are not only skilled at mixing drinks but also energetic and funny, making every visit a memorable experience. The atmosphere is simply fantastic - cozy and inviting, perfect for a night out with friends or a relaxing drink after work. If you're looking for a place with great vibes, top-notch service, and an all-around fantastic experience, Sellwood Saloon is the place to be. 5 stars all the way!“
“A cute little dive bar. It was far from crowded, not many people when I checked it out. Mostly people hanging out on the slot machines, or shooting pool on the only table they had. Majority of the people were a young group of regulars, but a few older folks as well. The bartender was very sweet. ?“

“The food came out and looked amazing but unfortunately we had dinner before we came. I had the Moscow Mule,, they actually purée the ginger. I ordered a late night Spanish coffee so both cocktails were some of the best we’ve ever had. My hubby had a black and tan and tried both of mine. We definitely both agree is one of the best places to come for good cocktails, good food and staff. We are both raised in PDX & we’ve been just about everywhere; we would 100% recommend it. We had the bartender name Natasha,
Thanks!“

“The poutine was just OK. They need to add pocked 9 ions and pickled jalapenos as standard and allow you to take them off if you don't like them. Also, the best poutine I have had has braised beef or pulled pork or some sort of meat to balance all the flavors.
The beer was very good. I tried their reserve stuff and their bourbon barrel aged beer and they were pretty good - all of them.“
“Everything is great except for one of the male bartenders.“

“I always have a good time at the Dublin Pub. Usually this is because of the music and dancing. The Marci Gard band was performing and I like their music. The multicolor lights remind me of the Disco lights and I enjoy the experience of dancing in those lights.“

“I really need to apologize to the person that I criticized for having 80s shoulder pads tonight, I’m just jealous I grew up with linebacker shoulders (but couldn’t ever play football)- I can’t pull off that jacket. This bar is fantastic and the service cannot be compared. If you want to play a game of pool, or maybe sit and write… you can be your best self“

“I usually give most places 5 stars for atmosphere but if I could give more.
This place is amazing, the decor and warm lighting makes The Muddy Rudder a perfect restaurant for date night, dinner with the family, or just a break from all your troubles.
Wide selection of pizza, calzones, and beverages (fountain drinks, tea, and of course, booze.)
If you’re in town definitely take the opportunity to satisfy your hunger for all that this wonderful city has to offer and try The Muddy Rudder Pub.
Vegetarian options: My vegetarian mother comes here with the rest of the family and enjoys it as much as the rest of us.
Parking: Can be a little difficult to find parking during peak hours but trust me when I say, it’s worth it. 100 percent.
Kid-friendliness: Meh. As long as they’re quiet.
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp on the north side of the building for access to the patio and bar.“

“The McMenamins is basically the same as all the others I've been in. But the theater rocks! It's a very old theater with a very old fashioned style, but it's been well kept up and I enjoy going there just for that.
Parking: It's a very busy area, so you may have to park a few small blocks away.
Wheelchair accessibility: I'm pretty sure it's wheelchair accessible but call to make sure first.“

“Rose City Book Pub hosted us for a show and they were amazing. The staff worked SO hard to take care of us, especially since they weren’t expecting a huge group of wizard rockers to descend upon their establishment. What a cool venue, and so welcoming. Thank you thank you thank you!“
