“Great place, and bartender was amazing.“
“Things to dig about the Record Pub: - Music for every type of listener. -Bar to sit down for a drink and think about what records you need to add to your arsenal. -Staff to talk about your selections with. -Educated suggestions for additional beats based upon the ensuing conversation of music you’ll have with the bartender. -Finishing another beverage all happy and giddy about the new vinyl you’re taking home.“

“Love the atmosphere and service everytime I'm in there. The Irish Dip is my go to with Cajun tots. The bun seemed different this time which was a little bit of a bummer since it was too soft for a dip but everything else was good as always.“

“Good selection of decent German beer on tap.Brought out of town family. On July 30,Rudest Worse Bartender that I have ever met.Zero Customer skills.Exactly what I did not want,When trying to introduce Portland to visitors. This place used to be good.“
“Extremely well curated tap list featuring Oregon legends, west coast collabs and new upcoming brewers and cider makers. The rotating cider list is especially great. The owner and staff are knowledgeable and super friendly. It truly is an exceptional neighborhood spot and it was sorely needed.“

“This is my favorite place in Portland. I love the open mics, the trans community events, the potlucks, and the openness of the space. Every time I walk in, I feel welcome. The worker-owners are caring and kind people. The giraffe is definitely a fun added touch - but my favorite part of the Tap is definitely the community. This place has singlehandedly motivated me to stay in Portland.“

“Possibly the best chicken tenders I've ever had. Juicy and crunchy in all of the best ways. So much better than the frozen stuff most places serve.
Good beer selection and killer seating in the garden if weather is nice.“

“Great people to work and drink with!“
“First time we ate outside during the fall, we sat near the windows to the restaurant where the fireplace is. I distinctly smelled the faintest scent of death while no one else in my party did at all. Eerie. I have since eaten there and entertained the thought of staying overnight. Simply havent got around to it though. Food is good fare. Go for breakfast but make sure you make it before the brunch menu hits. A bit more limiting.“

“I'm 59, female, and the cold pilsner beer hit the spot on a stormy day. Casual, comfy atmosphere. Bring a charging cord as there's ports at the bar to charge electronic devices. This was huge for us. A couple pool table so bring your que.
Parking: Small parking lot in back.“

“Old old st johns boozer. Youd think half of the patrons might even die on the spot. Very sketchy at times..and very friendly at times. It makes you think..i dont want the califonia transplants and hipsters taking it over..and i also dont want to be in a knife fight with some long time drug dealer. Like Dungeouns and Dragons..its a role of the dice. No females after dark unless youre armed..thats all of st John's and portland so not the bars fault. Support, but dont go in thinking some violence could happen walking back out.“

“Great local taproom. They play great music on a double record player, and great live music on the weekends. The cider in particular is very good. The food is hot or miss, the pizza is great if a little pricey, the apps and sandwiches are getting better.
Wheelchair accessibility: Not easily accessed by wheelchair that I could see. At least one or 2 steps at every entrance.“

“Owner, the food, and beer selection is amazing! Been here many times but decided to have lunch with my GF here today. A beer was slightly off, and he grabbed a glass to try it and promptly asked me if I would like a replacement. I always have the pulled pork sandwich and a beer for lunch here. My GF got the Cubano sandwich and it also was incredible. They also have video poker and pool tables. Check it out!!“

“The service is exceptional. The staff is friendly and engaging.
Our food was delicious. I had the French Dip. I would love to have horseradish with it but it wasn't' available.
The burgers are my usual go to but I wanted to try the French dip this trip.“
“I love staying at the White Eagle, a historic working person’s hotel in North Portland. The music venue downstairs is wonderful, food always excellent, rooms are basic and comfy, bathrooms down the hall clean with lots of hot water for showers. Best of all, friendly staff and courteous fellow guests. Bargain prices. I stay here on almost all my trips through Portland.“

“Old Portland. Excellent beers and cocktails, pinball, music from Tom Waits to Rainbow. Totinos pizza and White Castles provide a buffer to the alcohol. An expansive patio affords views of the Clinton Street bike path and happy Portlanders passing. Go here and experience Portland circa 1995.“

“A cute little dive bar. It was far from crowded, not many people when I checked it out. Mostly people hanging out on the slot machines, or shooting pool on the only table they had. Majority of the people were a young group of regulars, but a few older folks as well. The bartender was very sweet. ?“

“The food came out and looked amazing but unfortunately we had dinner before we came. I had the Moscow Mule,, they actually purée the ginger. I ordered a late night Spanish coffee so both cocktails were some of the best we’ve ever had. My hubby had a black and tan and tried both of mine. We definitely both agree is one of the best places to come for good cocktails, good food and staff. We are both raised in PDX & we’ve been just about everywhere; we would 100% recommend it. We had the bartender name Natasha,
Thanks!“

“Absolutely love Sellwood Saloon! This place is a gem in every way possible. The owners are fantastic - welcoming, friendly, and truly passionate about what they do. The bartenders are not only skilled at mixing drinks but also energetic and funny, making every visit a memorable experience. The atmosphere is simply fantastic - cozy and inviting, perfect for a night out with friends or a relaxing drink after work. If you're looking for a place with great vibes, top-notch service, and an all-around fantastic experience, Sellwood Saloon is the place to be. 5 stars all the way!“

“The poutine was just OK. They need to add pocked 9 ions and pickled jalapenos as standard and allow you to take them off if you don't like them. Also, the best poutine I have had has braised beef or pulled pork or some sort of meat to balance all the flavors.
The beer was very good. I tried their reserve stuff and their bourbon barrel aged beer and they were pretty good - all of them.“

“This gem, hidden in the heart of Portland is great !!! It's like a small town tavern where everybody knows your name.
The Hostess / Bartender / Waitress Lady greeted us warmly🥰, cleared a table, and made some excellent meal, drink, and appetizer suggestions. We both ordered the "Dungeon Burger"; my friend had the soup side and I chose the fries. I had an excellent sweet-tart Moscato blend to sip with my meal and my friend chose a soft drink.
While we waited, the music ambience was excellent rock music loud enough to give us privacy in our conversation while not being loud enough to hinder our conversation.
Our food arrived... WOW, the fries were fries, but the Dungeon burger was a most excellent flavorful experience. The usual toppings were good, but the burger patties were cooked to perfection !!! The flavor was terrific with pink in the middle, just as I love it. It was a culinary delight bursting with flavor, moist and juicy. I found it juicy and messy (if it's not messy, it isn't awesome) and incredibly delicious. I WILL return !!! I can easily recall the
flavor to this minute.
For a late evening meal, I highly recommend this McMenamins !!!“

“McMenamins runs a tight ship, and sometimes that ship can be too tight. I get that, but personally, I’ve never had any issues. You have a be a “bit” better behaved than a lot of other bars, which can suck but like whatever, free pool.“

“Rose City Book Pub hosted us for a show and they were amazing. The staff worked SO hard to take care of us, especially since they weren’t expecting a huge group of wizard rockers to descend upon their establishment. What a cool venue, and so welcoming. Thank you thank you thank you!“
