Wow! Excellent sushi and love the interior vibe which is light woods and recently remodeled. Do not be fooled by the exterior. Worth the drive as it’s in SW Portland. We started with miso and then shared the sashimi and two rolls. My favorite was the Hanabi roll and my daughter loved the King Dragon roll which was surprisingly a bit spicy. Look forward to returning.
I frequent SHO with my girlfriend, and not only is it authentic Japanese as expected, but the food and service are always a 10/10. Easily a top three restaurant for me, and my TOP place for anything Japanese no question.
Excellent lunch specials! The bento box with steak and tonkatsu was fantastic. Very generous portions, fresh and beautiful presentation. Staff was very friendly and accommodating and the value of the food was excellent as well.
