I was excited to return to The Country Cat, having been to their restaurant in SE Portland. I was disappointed to find that the airport location is more of a café. It was small, with only a few tables. All the sandwiches are pre-made and held cold in a glass case, then warmed in a toaster oven. I chose the egg, pesto, and provolone sandwich. It was OK tasting, a bit dry and kind of bland (stale?). It was a convenient stop into the airport for a person flying out of PDX, which...
Nice relaxing place to grab a bite before or after your flight. Wine selection was nice and the waitress/bartender selene (everything girl) was running around helping everyone with a smile and had so much patience with everyone for being slammed !
Selene is one of the best bartenders I've ever encountered. Not just airport bartenders, but best bartenders period. Friendly and professional, she made there time enjoyable and had great suggestions for food and drinks. She's literally THE BEST!
